support your friends! it’s pretty simple. buy from their businesses, be a shoulder to lean on, share their stories, go to their shows.

OpenAI potentially acquiring Trail of Bits is vindication of how valuable private security datasets are to train the next wave of cybersecurity models. this data is far more valuable than oil and where there is something more valuable than oil there is limitless military funding!

More than 2,000 creatives, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and industry leaders from Africa and beyond are expected in Kigali for the 2026 Africa Creative Economy and Investment Forum (ACEIF) from August 23–30.
Organised by @africaincolors , the forum will focus on strengthening Africa’s creative economy, attracting investment, building partnerships and creating opportunities for talent and creative businesses.
This year’s edition will focus on the role of arts, culture and creativity in shaping the cities of the future, with deal rooms, B2B meetings, master classes, policy discussions and networking sessions planned.
Africa in Colors founder Raoul Rugamba says the forum aims to move beyond conversations and deliver tangible partnerships, projects, policy changes and investment in Africa’s creative industries. #ACEIF2026

We have found critical vulnerabilities before attackers did and watched companies get breached anyway.
That changed how we thought about our job and eventually the company.
Today we’re announcing $16.5M in total funding, introducing Clarion, and sharing the new Cantina.
@mikeleffer and I wrote about the story here: cantina.security/blog/the-ne…
We spent years finding vulnerabilities before attackers did. That was the easy part.
Teams already know what's broken. Nobody has the bandwidth to close it.
Today we raised $16.5M to make Cantina the security workforce for your security workforce. cantina.review/next-chapter-…
most big tech companies don’t have "taste" just data and a hint of nostalgia
google, meta, apple… the people who once brought taste to these companies? gone
now it’s all A/B tests, algorithms, and repurposing ideas from twenty years ago
pls bring creativity back.
hosted a listening party last week
fifty or so people showed up
provided free fruit smoothies
live acoustic performance
cost was between $1-2k
was it worth it?
YES. we had kids dancing, real conversations and i got to see my community irl. priceless.
got a few friends hiring smart contract engineers + security researchers.
if that’s you or someone you know, reach out.
opportunities with seriously good teams doing seriously good work.
anyone building a product today should be thinking about africa.
by 2030, nearly 40% of the world’s youth will be there.
that’s not just a market.
it’s the future of culture, tech, and talent.
ignore it now, and you’ll be playing catch up later.
put my heart, mind and body to work to create this project. if you rock with it go ahead and purchase the full album here (skip that streaming ish) ⬇️

there's something strange about most people knowing hundreds of corporate logos by heart, but not the names of the plants growing outside of our windows.
when did we start memorizing brands instead of our own roots?

The career path in crypto that nobody talks about but pays incredibly well:
Protocol operations
While everyone tries to become founders or chase influence, these "boring" $300k roles sit empty
But here's the thing
Every major protocol needs someone to manage partnerships, coordinate launches, and handle the business side that founders don't want to touch
It's not glamorous, but it's essential.
The best part is you don't need to be overly technical
You need project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
These roles pay $150k-300k because finding competent operators in crypto is nearly impossible.
Most people want to build or trade, not handle the boring stuff that keeps protocols running
If this speaks to you, I'd advise you to learn how to navigate the space, understand how protocols work, then apply for ops roles at established projects
It's the most reliable path to crypto wealth that doesn't require gambling
finance rap
one listen to this Clipse album and I’m smiling.
being someone that studied finance in college, it’s wild how these guys turn wall street lingo into bars
this is finance 101
come on now.
creativity is the new oil.
constantly flooded with over manufactured algorithms and recycled content, being original is so rare now.
glad to see the rest of crypto finally focusing on solving global payments (ie stablecoins). imo this has been the lowest hanging fruit for awhile. i guess it wasn’t sexy enough yet it will have the biggest impact.
One thing everyone should do in their lifetime?
Go on a safari. 🦁🐘🦓
Putting your phone down and just watching animals move through their natural habitat is humbling.
You see how the water buffalo roams alongside the hippos.
How the impala glide across the plains effortlessly.
Lions bathing in the sun on top of rocks.
And it hits you... We’re not so different.
These animals eat, rest, protect their own, and explore their world.
Just like us.
We think we’re the center of everything sometimes. But this world is so much bigger than we give it credit.
If you live in a city like me, it’s rare to see animals truly living.
But stepping into their world for a bit?
It gives you real perspective.
So grateful for the past week and more energized than ever.
