Lets make the runtime layer boring for agents. Stable is Good > Good is Boring > Boring is Stable.
🥳 Google is donating Agent Substrate to CNCF, and our submissions is accepted today! This effort has now the full potential to become the underlying compute runtime layer for all agentic systems. github.com/cncf/sandbox/issu…

We have had internal access to this for some time, and I found this model to be incredible for software development work. It was under a code name, so initially wasn't even sure if it was the next pro model but a using it immediately cleared that confusion up. Excited to see folks use this.
Today we’re introducing Gemini 4 Argon. It delivers frontier performance in complex workflows across real-world software engineering, knowledge work, and cybersecurity defense with an industry-leading 1M token output limit.

Seuss you absolute madlad! Had no idea he was an AI Bro. Spelling could use a bit of work though.

This gets us even closer to the world of GKE where you get the compute where, when and how you need it.
👋 Meet the new GKE! Autopilot compute classes are now available for all qualifying clusters—not just dedicated Autopilot ones. Turn on Autopilot, at any time, on a per-workload basis, for near real-time, vertically and horizontally scalable compute → goo.gle/4nOVLFR

Today, we introduced Gemini CLI, an open-source AI agent that empowers developers with a versatile, local utility that can be directly accessed from the terminal. From code to content, and deep research to task management, Gemini CLI is built for cross-platform compatibility with extensibility through MCP bringing the power Gemini to your terminal. github.com/google-gemini/gem…

I really like the approach we took to improve scalability of GKE. Rather than building a non idiomatic feature (Glares at Karpenter), we focused on making upstream components hum on GKE and once again proving that GKE is the fastest and most efficient managed Kubernetes experience. cloud.google.com/blog/produc…

We wanted to make sure we have a number of different ways to access the model. There is c++ version, a notebook that you can run on colab for free. The model is available for download on Huggingface or Kaggle. Excited to see what we can do with finetuning and RAG.
