I got off a plane to find my independence stripped from me.
This cannot continue happening to disabled people. This #wheelchair is my mobility. My entire life is powered by this wheelchair.

Today I volunteered to coach my first adaptive tennis session. I had borrowed a racket from a player. When i went to give him the racket back he said “someone gave me that racket when i first started here & i’m giving it to you so you continue to play tennis & volunteer here” 🥹
on Monday my resident was a PGY-2 and on Friday a PGY-3. On Monday I didn’t even know where the bathroom was and by Friday I knew every patient on my service. Crazy how much things change in a week
