In today's NI music column #NorthernStars in
@TheSundayLife I write about the debut solo single/singles 'Your Bitterness Will Break You' from @modernromeni member Thomas Lowry. Both are streaming now.
RIP Mark Lanegan - the world has lost one of its greatest voices and songwriters youtu.be/odm92FWVY3Y

Obviously this is a joke - we much prefer making actual content that you can enjoy for free, for example our latest live stream, which you can watch here⬇️

Mark Hegan The Rising – at Dunmurry, Northern Ireland
Following on from my *ramble* yesterday, I am so pleased that we will be hosting two amazing creators @markhegan & @TheRisingMusic on Sat 29th Jan on our YouTube! Please consider joining us for some great music & chat!
We are starting a monthly Live-Stream where we host local musicians & artists. I'd particularly love to talk to artists & musicians who have made their art their primary income - to spread the word and to hear their story - please DM if you or someone you know would like to chat!
Who else feels like this? For so long I've been scared to attach my personality to our bands brand because I've worried people will reject it. Now I've learned people connect with personality.
Boutta spit some facts no printer - we never made money from recordings or gigs - we reimburse our expenditures a little bit by selling merch, if you are a band at our level that must be the focus
We spent the last 4 years trying to get local promoters to book us, and finally now we are open ourselves to an international audience online - looking back it seems crazy
We are starting a monthly live stream (starting next Saturday 29th January) where we platform not just musicians but artists too, so please get in touch if you'd like to be involved!
It's #BandcampFriday please consider picking up a merch bundle - we just released an EP and its super hard to sell merch without the usual gigging opportunities!
You can get a CD, T-shirt, and keychain for just £10 😍

Best part of the Eligible Singles List for the #NIMP2021 is how many artists managed to persevere and continue to create art 🤩
No-one should feel bad for not feeling creative over the last year, and there will always be a spot for you on next year's list!
Been thinking a lot on how to collaborate with other local artists. When gigging it feels sometimes like we're contractors working for the same company rather than actually collaborating. It'd be amazing just to go through that #NIMP21 list and check off each band we work with
We just released our debut EP 'Hidden Spaces' today, you can buy it and our super cheap merch here⬇️

It's crazy tough to promote without gigging, so any RTs would be much appreciated!

We are finally releasing our debut EP 'Hidden Spaces' on 23.07.21 - you can give a good old pre-save here if you are so inclined 🥰

youtu.be/xUXVE4GEwmc I think the guitar solo from 3:18 might be the best ever - do you agree? 🙈
