Software is having its Uber moment. For years, SaaS companies could keep raising prices because building an alternative was too expensive. AI changes that. Now anyone can enter the market with a competitive pricing. And customers can vibe code a good-enough version themselves.
It's a bit fascinating watching what feels like panic in public from Tyler. I'm in some groups with lots of newsletter operators. Many people are fed up with Beehiiv and their price hikes. They are switching providers, building their own, or jumping to @marclou's that he built in like 3 hours. Tyler is doing what we call "rolling out the red carpet on the way out". He is now asking what he can do for customers after he has jacked the price up and they are leaving. That's the opposite of what you should be doing. The issue I keep hearing from so many customers is that there are a ton of bells and whistles and garbage that they have no interest in using but feel like they have no choice but to pay for. It's like your TV provider telling you how you have access to 673 channels but you're like, "that's cool... how do I get a package with the 4 I care about?". I don't have a dog in this fight because it's too easy to simply vibe code up all the parts of Beehiiv that I'd actually need and pay a fraction of the price. But it sure is wild to watch.

How to hold a dumbbell in three main positions. 💪 1/ There is no need to squeeze the handle too much at the bottom. Hold the dumbbell more relaxed by leaning on your fingers instead of squeezing it with your whole palm. 2/ On the chest - the dumbbells should lie on the forearm, not hanging on the wrists. Keeping the elbow closer to the body. 3/ Above the head - the hand is completely straightened, the dumbbell is above the forearm, and the wrist remains in a neutral position. Correct dumbbell position helps to save force, control movement better, and perform exercises safely. Save the video so you don't lose it. 🔥

Also a lot of adults who have been labeled as having "depression", have ADHD in reality. In fact, studies of adults referred for treatment-resistant depression or mood/anxiety disorders have found previously undetected ADHD in roughly 1 in 3 cases. Now studies show that late-diagnosed ADHD has a somewhat different profile from the classic childhood version. It has more overlap with depression and neuroticism, less of the early developmental disruption, and a standout signal at a gene called FOXP2. This (FOXP2) is the only genome-wide significant locus that stood out specifically in the late-diagnosed subgroup. Of course, it was already one of the original 12 genome-wide significant ADHD risk loci, so it is not exclusive to late diagnosis. But its effect was larger in the late-diagnosed group. Now childhood ADHD is more strongly linked to genes involved in early brain development (examples include ST3GAL3 and signals near MEF2C for example). It also shares more genetic ground with autism and with externalizing traits like hyperactivity and conduct problems. So late-diagnosed ADHD looks different than childhood ADHD and it is often masked until adult demands increase a lot (hence the late diagnosis). In fact, it's not that uncommon for adults with ADHD to be labeled as having depression (instead of ADHD). An adult with ADHD who is masking will primarily show and talk about inattentive symptoms, higher neuroticism, and a more negative cognitive style overall rather than pure externalizing impulsivity. So clinicians often stop at depression and the lifelong ADHD pattern underneath gets missed, especially if the person never had classic childhood hyperactivity. Now, besides the thread below, one more tip that can help you is externalized verbal processing. Because FOXP2 links language systems with executive action, many people sequence better when they hear themselves talk. So speak tasks out loud, use voice-to-text for brain dumps, or briefly explain the next steps to a person (or even an inanimate object). Speaking forces the sequence into the open and reduces the load on working memory. Then vitamin A and B9 *might* also matter more for you than for other people, since they bind to the forkhead domain of FOXP2, creating a more flexible, open protein conformation. In all fairness, I feel Grok Bot figured this out much earlier. You cannot choose your model for Grok Bot. It’s Grok 4.{latest}… I think. BUT it doesn’t really matter!! The tool works, because the integrations + workflow were built really really well. And model is good enough
OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading AI labs face a growing challenge: Better models aren't necessarily attracting more usage. A 10-point intelligence advantage now earns just 20% more developer traffic, down from nearly 69% in late 2025. Full story: thein.fo/4hGJ9jY

If you want to learn about how the consumer M&A landscape has evolved over the last nearly 2 decades, look at VMG Partners' exits over time. Read them in order and you can see what founders built, what buyers wanted, and when that changed 👇 34 brands sold since 2010, ~$7B - VMG is one of the top investors in the space and true smart money that follows the trends before they're trends. 2010–14: Pet and salty snacks Waggin' Train (~$450M, Purina), Snack Factory ($340M, Snyder's-Lance), Pirate's Booty ($195M, B&G), Natural Balance (Del Monte). The "premium" in premium meant pretzel crisps and jerky treats. 2015–19: Protein and clean labels Vega ($550M, WhiteWave), Justin's ($281M, Hormel), Bare and Health Warrior (both to PepsiCo in 2018), Perfect Bar (~$300M, Mondelez), Quest ($1B, Simply Good Foods). Protein went from the gym aisle to the checkout lane, and Big Food paid up to catch it. 2019–22: Beauty and BFY Drunk Elephant ($845M, Shiseido), Sun Bum (~$400M, SC Johnson), Briogeo (Wella), Perfect Diary (IPO). Lily's ($425M, Hershey) and Nature's Bakery (~$400M, Mars) showed shoppers still wanted treats, just with less sugar. 2023–25: Drinks, function and a new buyer Ilegal Mezcal (Bacardi), K18 (Unilever), Honey Pot ($380M, Compass Diversified), Nutpods, Ancient Nutrition, Spindrift (~$650M, Gryphon). It's VMG's biggest exit since 2019, and it went to a PE firm. You can listen to my podcast with VMG GP Wayne Wu in the comments

Really cool opportunity out of New Jersey to buy a minority-owned business that supplies electrical materials for construction projects. This can be had for a very reasonable multiple. All applicants are welcome to pursue this, but to land all the same contracts you'll want to be able to qualify for MBE/DBE status, or be woman-owned >51%. Hispanic owner worked in the field and saw the opportunity and has made millions after he went out on his own- now ready to retire and pass the business along to the next owner. Small warehouse, and only a few employees. Great money-maker. Quite a bit of the materials get shipped straight from manufacturers to job sites, but some of the smaller stuff gets handled by them at the NJ Warehouse.

Stupid simple framework for prioritizing AI use cases in your business. X axis = can we execute it today? (readiness) Y axis = how big is the prize? (impact) 1) Accelerate now = big prize, ready to execute 2) Invest to unlock = big prize, not ready 3) Quick wins = small prize, ready to execute 4) Deprioritize = small prize, not ready

.@tryramp makes a bit over $2B a year. Investors just valued it at $60B. @airwallex isn't far behind on revenue. It runs at $1.3B a year, and its June round valued it at $11B. @mercury also passed $1B a year, and it's valued below Airwallex. Side by side, the revenues are close, but not the valuations. Ramp sits alone at the top of the chart, and the rest of the category is bunched at the bottom. I think investors are paying Ramp for what they expect it to become. On today's revenue alone, it would sit much closer to Airwallex.
Who’s undervalued vs overvalued in fintech banking/spend? > @mercury: ~$1B revenue → $5.2B valuation (~5x) > @slashapp: ~$250-300M revenue → $1.4B valuation (~5x) > @tryramp: >$2B revenue → $60B valuation (~30x) Mercury & Slash look cheap.
