These two teenage boys may have killed me. They were, after all, planning to carry out a suicide bombing at a Jewish event I attended here in Ottawa. Because of this, I remember the case quite clearly.
What this article leaves out is the fact that the parents of these youth helped radicalize them — but they'll face no criminal charges or consequences. One of the fathers involved, for instance, who is from Iraq, made appalling social media posts about "Zionists" and Jews, suggesting that all Israelis should be murdered.
It's a good thing both of these terrorists will spend some time behind bars, but they won't be in there forever, and the households they return to will likely remain cesspools of Islamic extremism. We need to get serious about addressing the root cause here. Right now, we're playing jihadi Whack-a-Mole, and that can only do so much, for so long. An absolutely horrifying case — but it won't be the last.

Hey @JordanNReid why are candidates with antisemitic views like Aman Singh @mableelmore & @JM_Whiteside who consider Israel a ‘pinkwashing’ state, insist that ‘Zionists’ must be ousted from labour spheres & ignore the atrocities of Oct 7 running for the @bcndp?

Don’t worry, Canadians! The terrorist who plotted to storm Parliament Hill and bomb Toronto has been miraculously cured of extremism. The Parole Board says Canadians can sleep soundly.

This man had great potential— the scandal is he hid dangerous hard left proclivities and a propensity for Wilful Blindness in his will to power, while riding a wave of popularity in speaking up about rampant money laundering and foreign influences on BC’s economy.

The West will regret its parasitic suicidal empathy for generations to come. Arguably, the greatest tragedy to befall Western civilization. Death by a thousand "peaceful" cuts...

“Bombing the borders... Molotov cocktails”
“It was the most beautiful day of my life.”
Abdul El-Sayed’s sister, Eman Abdelhadi, imagines a future October 7 in her disturbing fiction novel about the “Final Intifada.”
Putting aside the romanticization of violence, El-Sayed’s sister represents a movement that promotes the mass killing of Jews.

Ok @Dave_Eby, you have peaked my interest, with what Jewish organization did the @bcndp and all the @BCNDPCaucus MLAs do antisemitism training with and when?

None of this fits the BBC narrative
🇬🇧 A group of immigrants harass and assault a politician from Restore Britain.
It hasn't appeared in any mainstream media.
Now imagine a group of white people harassing and assaulting a Muslim politician.
What would happen? It would be all over the news, and they would be accused of racism.
Why not in this case?
A huge double standard...

Interesting report from Bob Mackin on the story Stew Bell broke— Will any BC election reporters query Premier Eby?
@bobmackin thebreaker.news/
“In his second month on the job, B.C. Premier David Eby sent three members of his NDP caucus to a Lunar New Year banquet in a Richmond casino where they sat across from a People’s Liberation Army veteran now subject to deportation proceedings.” “In 2023, theBreaker reported on Yuan’s attendance at the Canadian Community Service Association’s “Year of the Tiger” Lunar New Year banquet at River Rock Casino Resort, where Yuan had been a whale gambler.
NDP’s then-Minister of Municipal Affairs Anne Kang and Richmond South Centre MLA Henry Yao, who both hail from Taiwan, and former Minister of State for Trade George Chow were seated across from Yuan at the VIP table.
Yuan spoke to the crowd in Mandarin from the stage about “our second home, Canada” being inclusive, stable and progressive.
“As ethnic minorities, we must also actively participate in and discuss state affairs, we must obey the law and pay taxes according to regulations,” Yuan said, according to a translation.
The former Port Coquitlam gun store owner met Justin Trudeau and made donations to the Liberal Party.
Liberal Party returns to Elections Canada show three donations received July 6, 2016 from Yuan, totalling $4,299.30. He directed one of those to the Papineau Federal Liberal Association, the re-election fund in Trudeau’s home riding in Montreal.”

Two years ago, BC Muslim Association members publicly barred elected officials from their premises unless they endorsed the restoration of funding to UNRWA, which is basically a funding sieve for Hamas. The other religious associations in BC don't act like this.
The BC Muslim Association is calling on the Conservatives to remove Katy Merrifield, apologize, and make clear that anti-Muslim rhetoric has no place in their party.
Lorne Doerkson must answer for his silence.
