$4.99 coffee? No problem. $4.99 app? Let me read 300 reviews first.

In my app to localize Google Play's prices, I was thinking about adding a 3-day free trial so devs could see how prices update in Google Play Console. But that's a bad monetization strategy: users could localize all their apps in 3 days and cancel subscription immediately. A better approach came to my mind: Let them localize 1 app for free with unlimited updates forever. Done! It cannot be bypassed, even from a second device: โ€ข App package name is tied to the Google account ID. โ€ข Data is saved to Firebase Firestore and synced across devices. Pay only when scaling to multiple apps. #BuildInPublic

You can now capture screenshots directly from the Quick Settings panel, crop them, and style for quick sharing. #buildinpublic #android

Quick cheat sheet: where to place AI skills if you use Android Studio. To avoid duplicating skills across multiple directories when using more than one AI tool in the project, it's better to use a single directory and symlink them: ln -s ../.agents/skills .github/skills ln -s ../.agents/skills .claude/skills #androidstudio #agentskills #AI

To avoid confusing PlayPricing.dev users I slightly changed the pricing screen: โ–ช๏ธŽ Removed the green/red arrow indicators to the left of the optimized price - some users didn't understand what they meant โ–ช๏ธŽ Added percentage badges to show whether a current price is overpriced or underpriced for the region -- The app lets you localize Google Play prices across all regions based on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and sync them with Google Play Console in 1-tap. #buildinpublic #pricelocalize

Looks like screenshots localization is working. I did it for my Screenshot Maker app on Oct 11 and the very first user from Spain installed the app on Oct 15 #aso #GooglePlay

I started using a new ASO tool a few days ago and noticed a Top-10 keyword "twitter screenshot" in the US market. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € So l quickly added this feature to my ScreenShot Maker - neonframe.app โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € You can now convert any Twitter/X post into a clean, styled picture ready to share on Instagram, LinkedIn in seconds. #tweet2pic #androidapp #buildinpublic

We've just released a new official Android skill that can be used to statically analyse your #JetpackCompose code for performance improvements. โšก๏ธ Install it, and ask your agent to run the skill on your code. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป We've seen some good results running it internally - give it a try and let us know any feedback! github.com/android/skills/trโ€ฆ
