This is the greatest spam message I have ever gotten. Except for the part where I'm apparently dead? pastebin.com/CQerqnhV

Let's talk about the spectrum of harm related to crypto and blockchain. There is a level of specificity and nuance that that some of us crypto skeptics don't necessarily communicate well as to what we actually see as harmful. 🧵 (1/)

I'm happy to debate Mr. Tory any time, as I have a number of times already with a number of different candidates. It's up to organizers to determine who's on stage. But after the upheaval of the last few weeks, we need more democracy, more debate and more accountability—not less.

Toronto voted for John Tory because he offered a compelling “Vote for me and you will not be governed by Doug Ford” platform. Little more was expected — Tory still managed to disappoint. Now Doug Ford’s assumed command and Tory's gone political AWOL. You had one job, John Tory.

I made an extension that changes "millennials" to "adults under 40" and it's really improved my twitter feed

So, serious question to any other chatbot developers on the Facebook platform: do you feel like Facebook is trying to kill your bot? #chatbots

Things that happen in Silicon Valley and also the Soviet Union: - waiting years to receive a car you ordered, to find that it's of poor workmanship and quality - promises of colonizing the solar system while you toil in drudgery day in, day out

Trying to generate a cert using @letsencrypt for a .app domain ends up generating a folder with a .app extension. OSX reads that as a corrupt application directory, meaning I can't access my certs without using bash to rename the directory...wonder if that happens with other TLDs

I've been low-key really into the Quebec rap scene lately and I'm starting to think it's because I can actually hear and understand the lyrics. It's nice! They use words and proper enunciation and everything!

Oh hey, new @ArcticMonkeys album on my recommended albums list this morning; now that's a sight I didn't expect to ever see again.

That said, it is definitely weird AF.
Got a spam phone call from a business cash loan advance scam. Decided to see where it would go. HIM: Adrian services, would you like a cash advance today? ME: Basement services? HIM: No, Adrian Services, would you like cash advance? ME: How do you spell that? Then he hung up.

My only hope is that they'll blacklist me from their lists in the future, since that's the third time they've called today alone...
That was probably a good call, I would totally have kept trying to misspell his company name until he broke.
Time to start exploring other tools... I've had @mixpanel suggested heavily by @zeteg so guess it's time to take another look there.

No Stay the Night on the new @JukeboxtheGhost album makes me sad, but it's still fun to compare this record vs their last one--a very different style that I'm still having fun with (and ima be real here, plays much better live)
Until proven otherwise, I am declaring myself the creator of the largest Rice Krispie square in Canada.

We’re starting to differentiate “software developers” from “software engineers” and this absolutely nails the difference. An engineer builds software systems that run in the context of people. A developer writes code. xitter.cf/sophaskins/status/9732…
There are no good engineers who only pay attention to code There are no good engineers who only think about technologies There are no good engineers who ignore social issues The human context of your work _is_ what makes engineers good or bad
