most of the good growth talent is usually ex ecom , crypto or some internet money background scrappy , fast , used to being profitable etc these skills are 10x more valuable in software there is a reason I am in info + ecom -> just to bring those worlds over to software :)
i built @WisprFlow’s paid ads program here’s how i’d rebuild it in 30 days

proof building a good product + service is unbeatable @whop team always takes it a step beyond they have taken care of everyone I’ve referred , that to me is worth more then a % also had no idea I made any rev off affiliates so ty for the Daytona @iamthemoat :)
Whop Partners can now become Verified: > Adjust fees for your referred businesses > Attribute your deals without a referral link > Join a private network of other Verified Partners Top partners are already making over $1M per year 🫵

sudden success is the worst thing that can happen to you you suddenly lose a sense of what it is that actually happened that led to your success you get fed a false reality and tend to steer off course take a step back and understand truly why something has happened

“Founder tunnel” I see it all the time doing GTM with founders either fixed on a number or living in a version of the company that's years out ( which is ok ) but the work directly in front of them gets blurred you usually can't see any of it from inside the day to day so I force everyone to step back and look holistically the vision stays the north star, then work backwards from it what it does now, what that creates, and what that one creates after - 3rd order thinking those are your calculated bets those are your “ incremental steps “
Someone asked how founders can make their companies huge without being overconfident. It was meant to be rhetorical question, but it has an answer, and the answer is an important one. Incrementally.

influencers and info products into software is very profitable distribution model it's a funnel I got intrigued by decided to learn it hands and learn form the best 12 months to the first million 60 days to the second on track for 500k/m this month all traffic being directed to a complementing software company cheap CAC -> strong LTVs @GadzhiIman has done this well @Base44 is hyper scaling using this model and many others look between the lines and try new things

content is one of the most defensible moats you can build its hard to copy trust and a channel you own @TheInfowiz has done this well he built the pod that brings on the biggest operators in the space , does breakdowns no one else is really doing every episode teaches something real , proves the product works , and pulls in the exact people who need it that funnel then compounds over time well done :)
#1 Most valuable youtube video I've watched in the current era of youtube marketing Thank me later

coming from someone who owns perplexity merch and uses perplexity finance, but never really converted as a user here are my raw thoughts on how I'd scale this... your design is the moat. the merch, finance, the whole identity no one else in this category looks like you imo. that's genuinely what pulled me in at first what didn't pull me in was any clear answer to why perplexity over everyone else, or what I'd actually use it for here's how I'd close that gap... 1/ vertical mini launches, every week "perplexity as your assistant" "perplexity for GTM" "perplexity as your CTO" "perplexity for traders" each one is a real launch. its own page, its own wave feels repetitive from the inside. from the outside you're hitting a new market every time - engage creators in those subcategories (IG, X, etc) - deep write ups like this one: x.com/kristaletz/status/2089… - launch posts and assets around each "product" 2/ ship templates people can copy / use every vertical page comes with the setup. connectors, routine, prompt, output something someone can lift and run in ten minutes I'd work on creating these. seems small but people just want to visualize what's possible and be told how 3/ explain what computer actually is most people genuinely can't tell you it's not a browser, it's not a chatbot. it's an agent with its own machine that signs into your tools and comes back with finished work that needs visuals and walkthroughs. "the local agent harness for your work" I'd work on better visual explanation. videos, screen studio assets. goes back to the launch videos and actually educating the market 4/ half the team posts daily the team showing off a different use case angle every day, from the person who actually built it -> the. repost on main Perplexity page xAI did exactly this. nine of their people posted their own agent setups on launch day. head of design posted an icon animation and got 11k likes influencers layered on top to amplify... start with your own team, they know the product best and they're the power users. use them to test, then amplify 5/ engineer the spikes credit windows, limited time drops, newsjack everything markets rip, push finance. agents trending, push computer with zero setup get people in the door cheap and let your product do the work to retain 6/ " perplexity finance" already proves the whole thing works congressional trades, live polymarket odds, quartr transcripts while the call is still running, a screener you just talk to. free, no login a bloomberg seat is $32k a year it pulled me in through search then dragged me into personal computer that funnel you built was great... run it everywhere else claude, higgsfield and manus all do this constantly. claude for design. always the same move, always a new vertical claude always had design. the second they gave it a name, an interface and its own launch, it made sense all of a sudden that's the sprint perplexity should be running every week you already have a great product a combination of all of this , would work very well to scale here :)

Appreciate your praise for the product. What do you think we are doing horribly on the marketing?

I’ve ran GTM for over 20 startups and it baffles me how little some of these C suite positioned marketers have never actually done of the most basic things recently spoke to a company that raised at a billion dollar valuation and there VP was unsure if they had a pixel set up…
we’re about to have an entire generation of “growth” guys/girls in sf who know how to larp on twitter but > think cbo is a mcdonald’s burger > never fired a creator > never installed a pixel > never negotiated an influencer rate > don’t know their cac > think ltv is a new 4k tv brand
