Even if Noah's ark were found, I doubt it would lead to mass conversions. Most people don't believe, not because there isn't evidence, but because they don't want to. The Bible is stronger evidence than the ark's wreck, yet people don't believe.

I like it when my typos are so bad that Grammerly and Word both look at me as if to say, "What in tarnation?" It's a small way I can fight back against their artificial perfectionism. To err is human has never meant so much.

New Blog Post: New Multi-Book Project - martinwickens.com/2026/10/th… I am nearly finished writing a commentary on the book of Genesis. I am aware of my abilities, but I trust it will help others. Over the next few weeks, I'll share more about my methods and motivation.

Book Review: Kissinger by Isaacson martinwickens.com/2026/10/bo… This was my first time really studying this period in US history. Whatever could be said of Kissinger's moral character, I don't think anyone could argue that few people had as much impact on the world as Kissinger.

William Booth's son would sometimes show attacks made against him in the media. Booth replied, "Bramwell, fifty years hence it will matter very little indeed how these people treated us; it will matter a great deal how we dealt with the work of God."

I believe the death penalty is just and right. I believe carrying out the penalty publicly and swiftly is best. I'm not convinced that livestreaming death penalties being carried out is necessary.

Here is one concern I have with Grammerly. One image is of a paragraph by John Phillips from one of his published commentaries. Apparently, it needs a lot of work. The second image is after Grammarly's suggestions. Maybe it is better. But is it still Phillips?

Me: "Well. That's the second draft of my book done. Nearly finished." Grammerly: [Insert evil laugh] HA HA HA! You're not even close to being finished!"

Mamdani is a disgusting individual and it is a stain on NYC if he continues as mayor.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

I don't have a friend who works in Russia, but if I did, I don't think they would have sent me a voicemail saying that St Petersburg is going to go into lockdown tomorrow because of the plague outbreak and not even be joking. 😂 IYKYK

I will not forgive: Google for shutting down the Google Music App or Microsoft for shutting down Microsoft Money, Publisher, and Movie Maker programs. I will hold on to the bitterness as I age.

On average, the top ten Hollywood actors were paid around $50 million in 2024. Now they're worried about being replaced by AI generated characters. I don't like AI replacing many workers and creators, but I overpaid actors? Maybe not such a bad thing.
