Quatre militaires salvadoriens de la Task Force Libertad II sont portés disparus depuis le 18 octobre 2026, à Santo, après une embuscade menée par le gang des 400 Mawozo dans la commune de Croix-des-Bouquets, en Haïti. Selon un communiqué de l’armée salvadorienne, leur véhicule blindé a pris feu lors de l’attaque.
La zone de Santo (située dans la commune de Croix-des-Bouquets, en périphérie de Port-au-Prince) et ses environs sont principalement sous l’emprise du puissant gang des 400 Mawozo, dirigé par Joseph Wilson, alias "Lanmò San Jou". Un fait marquant : certains oligarques fonctionnent dans la zone en toute quiétude, sans présence de la police ni avant ni après la disparition.
Par exemple, à Santo 17, Anthony Bennet, André Apaid, Henri Baker et presque tous les oligarques se regroupent à Santo sans la présence de la police. Il faut que la justice haïtienne et l’ONU enquêtent sur les conditions dans lesquelles ces acteurs économiques poursuivent leurs activités dans une zone contrôlée par des gangs, en l’absence des forces de l’ordre. As the Sahel starts to see reduction in food prices, unprecedented growth. Negative inflation, France starts to see the opposite. What does that tell you fellow Africans:
On Saturday, about 550,000 people marched across France, by the Interior Ministry's count, over living costs, fuel prices and school conditions. Organizers say it was closer to 800,000.
By night, more than 1,200 people had been arrested and 150 police officers were hurt, according to the Prime Minister. Buildings were set alight and shops were looted in several cities.
In Bamako, Ouagadougou and Niamey, the question is being asked plainly. This is the country that lectured the Sahel on stability.
The reporting points to inflation and cuts to public services, not the Sahel. But the contrast is hard to miss. The same capitals told they needed France to hold things together are watching France struggle to hold itself together.
Every nation faces hard times. The difference is who gets called "unstable."
