I'm trying to report a missed recycling pickup on @nyc311 but it won't let me because "A full winter snowstorm operation is in progress." @NYCSanitation this is just out of date, right?

To be clear, it seems like everything is getting picked up on schedule, one of our bins just got missed.

The new Court St bike lane is looking great! It certainly made running errands in Cobble Hill with @lizdenys this morning much easier!

Sure seems like all the angriest, stupidest drivers are out in Midwood tonight. I biked down so I could ride home with @lizdenys from their community board meeting, since they were still a bit shaken from a close call with a deranged school bus driver on their way there.

To actually make these streets safe and friendly for all, @NYC_DOT needs to include the neighborhood in a city-wide network of protected bike lanes and protected intersections.

We also need some more specific fixes from @NYC_DOT, like making the bridge on E 14th St (between Aves H & I) bike- and pedestrian-only, to cut down on aggressive drivers speeding down quiet neighborhood streets to avoid traffic lights and speed cameras.

There's a City Council hearing coming up next week for the universal daylighting bill, intro.nyc/1138-2024 and I'm really glad my CM, @RitaJosephNYC is a sponsor!

It's a simple bill, just catching some NYC rules up with the rest of the state, but it's a big step in making it safer and more comfortable to drive, walk, or bike around the city.
