The bottleneck in coding is now the time it takes a human to review agent-generated code.
But existing review UIs don't work well for agents.
So we built a new one into Amp.

My team and I have worked on Deep Search for the last few months and we received really strong feedback from our customers. It has changed the way they interact and leverage Sourcegraph's search and code intelligence technology.
Meet Amp's newest tool: The Librarian. Your cross-repo search assistant.
The Librarian makes it easy to get clear and comprehensive answers to questions spanning beyond your current repo.
One place it excels at is asking how a dependency works under the covers.
For example, I asked how SvelteKit routing works and it figured out the right repo on GitHub and gave a detailed breakdown of its routing implementation.

@AmpCode just launched the same thing for coding agents
this has the potential to impact millions of developers around the world, and @workos is excited to be an early part of this experiment

Someone asked me yesterday in response to our release:
"Is this truly *it*, the next step for agents? A terminal application? Or is the next step a proper desktop application?"
Here's my answer:

Don’t constrain your worldview to what terminals are capable of today. Ask what a terminal could further offer to make this the right platform for something like Amp. I’m already collaborating with Amp to figure out specifications for the future to enable more, more, more!

Amp's CLI is now a proper, full-on TUI.
Best part for me personally? No more Ink, no more flicker.
Matthew Manela retweeted
The UI for @AmpCode is much simpler and purposeful than its alternatives. It feels like it fits well into their overall vision
