I’m looking for my next role. If anyone knows of companies that have C#/.NET roles, let me know I've spent the last few years working on Developer Tools that use the .NET Profiling APIs My blog gives a good idea of my interests and skills mattwarren.org/

Researching these books, we’ve visited 145 bivouac huts so far. We’ve stayed in everything from crumbling death traps to comfortable luxury huts, and visited the whole spectrum in between! Pre-orders just launched: Head over to the Kickstarter page (kickstarter.com/projects/ben…)

Dhaulagiri 8,167 m, the seventh highest mountain, is seen here in the early morning sun on the approach to Kathmandu. It's the second summit from the right. The triangular shaped south face is one of the highest in the world and stands more than 4 km tall. Still unclimbed. – at Nepal

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reached out to the Danish egg producers on February 28th, asking if they can export eggs to the US. Will this affect any claims on Greenland? You can't make this up. reuters.com/world/us/how-man… – at Copenhagen, Denmark

I wrote software for a bespoke device. It didn't boot. A colleague came over and attached a scope. "Boot it!" Green lines flickered on the scope. After a few tries he noticed that two lines were swapped and after I made a small change to the software the device booted. 🤯
Replying to @TracketPacer
how to use an oscilloscope. never used one? that makes sense. they cost $100k+ & why the hell would you ever need to care about one anyway?

The flickering lines on the scope were really fast and I couldn't see a pattern so I asked him how he determined the problem. He told me that he previously had been troubleshooting with a scope for a long time and he had developed a skill for recognizing the patterns. Amazing!

This is Brienz Rothorn Bahn. The long mountain ridge in front of the train is Hardergrat which I hiked to get from Harderkulm to Brienzer Rothorn where I caught the train down. It looks unbelievable from this perspective and to be honest the hike is wild. 🧗‍♂️

I need your help. I'm looking for a new Developer Relations role after a round of layoffs at Earthly last week. My nearly 4 years there introduced me to DevRel, and it's become a true passion. At Earthly, I combined coding with creating tutorials, talks, and YouTube videos. Here are some examples: ‣ Written Tutorial: earthly.dev/blog/jq-select/ ‣ Video Tutorial: youtube.com/watch?v=V5rKVrVh… ‣ Conference Talk: youtube.com/watch?v=89ESCBzM… My developer-focused content reached the front page of Hacker News and Reddit's /r/programming over 20 times. We grew our website visitors from 0 to over 2 million devs a year – that's about 30,000 visitors on an average Monday! Youtube, newsletters and most importantly paying customer numbers grew via content creation. Beyond content creation, I contributed to community work, product development, bug fixes, documentation, and conference talks. I'm eager to find another role where I can use my dev and communication skills to reach and educate software engineers. I'd love to chat with dev tool, DevOps, app security, or ML companies targeting engineers. Here's how you can help: Who do you think I should talk to? Any job-seeking advice? Feel free to reshare or comment to boost the visibility of this post.

Here's another disturbing health claim that seems to come from a comedy/satire website (edit: or is that from a real website??).

Nimis, a chaotic piece of art made from driftwood by Lars Vilks on an inaccessible Swedish coast. It's still standing after more than 40 years despite vandalism and court battles with local authorities. The stories surrounding Lars Vilks are wild. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimis_…

Initially, I was confused why David posted this because to me this looks like completely normal C# but after reading some of the replies I can now understand that not everybody agrees. I'm probably not going to share the really exotic things I've tried to do in C# here. 😆
Today I wrote this code. Yep, this is C# #dotntet #csharp

Piz Umur! This brings back memories of bivouacing en route to Piz Bernina looking across the debris from the then relatively recent Piz Morteratsch rock avalanche to climbers stranded on Piz Umur awaiting a cold night. Later we learned that they named the mountain "Piz Tumor". 😆
Lesser known of Tschierva catchment rock avalanches, the Piz #Umur 10th Feb 2023 event ❄️🪨 Piz Umur (3253 m asl) is the crest separating the two Tschierva glacier sub-catchments. This event followed part of the recent Scerscen RA trajectory. Source sac-cas.ch/de/huetten-und-to…
