Received a similar email from one of our distributors. So we’ve logged 20+ hours as a small business trying to set everything up for *checks notes* tomorrow…. And I’m getting emails saying ‘we just aren’t going to do it now and we’ll sort it out later- all payments due in full’
Still think the GST/HST holiday is a breeze for small business?
All companies (including manufacturers and wholesalers) selling products subject to the holiday are to zero-rate the tax starting Dec. 14.
Here is a response from @PepsiCo Canada. If large companies can't do this in time, god help Canada's small businesses this weekend.

Something that worries me: whenever I have to go anywhere with lots of people, I am absolutely astonished at how completely oblivious most people are to their surroundings.
I'm not talking about screens here; most people simply have the situational awareness of a Hereford cow.
Going to a grocery store and having everything you want, every day, is a luxury. In our area, we have seasons (which we have all seen shifting). Shopping and eating seasonally is so important. Growing, harvesting, and storing when able … so important… the shift is here.
