Founders send me pitches every day. Here’s a better way: come to our hackathon! EVOLVE: 20 hours, overnight at 8090 in Redwood City, Nov 13–14. Build AI agents and tools that build software. The winning team, beyond recognition and a cool trophy gets two 1:1s with me, to help you refine a pitch or idea and then a follow-up. Use the time however you want. Ask me for advice, ask me for money or just make fun of me. All allowed if you win! Apply: 8090-solutions.link/evolve-w…

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

We’re hiring a Head of LATAM Product Partnerships at OpenAI, based in São Paulo. We’re looking for someone who knows the region deeply, loves building longterm, trusted partnerships, and can turn ambitious ideas into things people actually use. This person will help shape how we grow across Latin America. Warning: this is not a cushy tech job. This is a role for an entrepreneurially minded partnerships athlete wanting to make a massive positive impact. If this sounds like you, or someone you’d love to see in this role, please apply or pass it along. openai.com/careers/head-of-l…

The biggest moat in robotics is in the deployments. Hence, we invited @JasonMa2020 (co-founder, @DynaRobotics) to talk about their experience in getting robots from 80% to 99%+ reliability in real customer sites. Happening on Oct 8th. Attendee list includes technical staff from PI, Skild AI, 1X, Agility, Apptronik, World Labs, Dexterity and more, plus physical AI investors. Event is almost at capacity. If you wish to attend, comment "deploy" for the link. Proudly supported by @rerundotio and @lighthousehq_ HQ. #SFTechWeek

AI is getting cheaper more quickly than any other transformative tech in history. At a given level of performance, cost has fallen ~47%/quarter since 2023. That’s 4× faster than DNA sequencing, 6× faster than compute, 18× faster than lithium batteries, and (up to 1973) 54× faster than electricity.

If coding agents will write most of our code, what happens with our communities and sense of ergonomics? How does it impact our compilers and tools?

No fim de julho apresentei este material num café da manhã com investidores em SP. 29 slides sobre o maior ciclo de investimento em infraestrutura da história. A IA saiu do software. Virou obra pesada: chips, datacenters, energia. 🧵 @HeyHoVentures
