Angel Martinez's max EV during this spring (111mph) is 5mph higher than his previous career best (106mph) In fact, Martinez's 90th percentile EV this spring is 107.7 Angel with real ability to impact the baseball would be extremely valuable... something to keep track of

Agreed. Having said that, it would be a war crime if Vogt bats him second in the order instead of CDL.

Against lefties Angel should be batting second but chase should still be in the lineup

as long as he's not impacting the ball straight into the ground, absolutely. I still think he's a short-side platoon bat

Martinez vs LHP had a very good wRC+ of 123 in 2025. Only Jose and him were above average hitters vs LHP for the Guardians. Worst case scenario is platoons a lot vs LHP. Best case scenario he improves significantly vs RHP. He’s a switch hitter with talent. Could end up being a very valuable piece.

Angel Martinez career stats: 653 PA, 14 HR, 11 SB, .630 OPS Jose Ramirez 2013-15: 635 PA, 8 HR, 20 SB, .636 OPS I’m not saying Angel is the next Jose, but Jose wasn’t this Jose at the same point of his career as Angel is at either.
