Please help, @311DCgov. Tree still down across the 400 block of 9th St NE blocking the road and covering my car. Service Request Creation email says it’ll be resolved by Sept. 14th, but the road is impassable, my car can’t be moved, and branches are on sidewalk, too. Thank you.
Apparently this case keeps getting closed because multiple people have entered it, @311DCgov. The tree remains in top of my vehicle and I cannot move the tree or my car. Please help. Thank you!

Another Black woman was senselessly killed at the hands of police. As a result of calling 911 for help, Sonya Massey was fatally shot in her own home.
We won't let the deaths of Black people continue to be swept under the rug. Sonya Massey deserves justice. #SayHerName
Sonya Massey’s family says she is a descendant of William Donnegan, who was lynched by a white mob during violent racist attacks that led to the creation of the NAACP.
Massey was taken to the same hospital as her ancestor Donnegan, the family said

Lily Gladstone on being the first Native American to be #Oscar-nominated for Best Actress.
“Why am I the first? Why did it have to take this long for me to be the first Indigenous North American? Most of the films that show up in these categories are shot on Indigenous land in North America, and it’s taken this long.”

I see that #PeteButtigieg is trending, and click to see why. He’s provided a calm, cool, collected, effective response to violent homophobic speech.
Don’t get me wrong, @PeteButtigieg deserves the respect and commendation.
But please, consider, what if he wasn’t calm? 🧵
Would you think that someone in public service ought to behave better? Would he be too out, too proud, too gay, too loud?

"If I could give you one thought, it would be to lift someone up. Lift a stranger up - lift her up. I would ask you, mother and father, brother and sister, lovers, mother and daughter, father and son, lift someone. The very idea of lifting someone up will lift you, as well."

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
It is unethical for any medical provider to deny treatment to a patient because of religious or moral beliefs. Medicine should be patient centered. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. #MedTwitter pnj.com/story/news/politics/…

Wait, there's absolutely no mandated leave entitlements in the US??? Not even sick leave? Wtf do you all do when you get sick???
This morning, my preschooler told our dog: “Perhaps, Stella, you’re the best dog in the whole wide world.”
I said I want to write that down, and they said: “Can you send that to the president? Write down her name.” So, @POTUS: “Stella is the goodest dog in the whole wide world.”
