I’m thrilled to be joining the Chicago @Cubs as a Baseball Operations Analyst upon my graduation next Spring! I want to sincerely thank all of my family, friends, and colleagues who’ve helped me reach this point in my career. I can’t wait to bring a championship home to Chicago!

When I took over as GM of the Harbor Hawks, I set two major goals: build a consistent winner that would bring championships back to Hyannis and create a top-tier baseball ops internship to attract the brightest young baseball minds in the country.
We’re still growing and learning, but as the MLB hiring season wraps up, I’m ecstatic and proud to share that 9 of our interns have landed roles in MLB front offices. They could not be more deserving.
I’m looking forward to welcoming a new group of interns to McKeon Park this summer! They’ll push the boundaries of what we can do with analytics and help strengthen our MLB pipeline .
A summer in Hyannis is becoming synonymous with stepping into an MLB front office. Let's keep raising the bar!

C/CIF Chase Fralick (Auburn commit, 2024 elig.) rips a double here. Good bat speed with big power from the prep. Touched 90 MPH on the mound earlier in the day as well.
OF Michael Mullinax (Georgia commit, 2024 elig.) with a couple hard outs here. Swing is much quieter this spring than last summer. Good defender with great speed as well.
RHP/3B Alex Hernandez (Georgia Tech commit, 2024 elig.) impressed at the Georgia Dugout Club a couple of weeks ago. Incredibly physical for his age with plenty of raw power. Fastball was in the low 90s as well. Legitimate two-way talent.
I had an incredible experience working with Hyannis this summer! Highly recommend this opportunity to anyone trying to break into the baseball industry.
Be sure to check out my final group of players from my looks on the Cape below! ⬇️
.@mlb_pc is sending off the summer on a high note!
In his final edition of Cape Cod live looks, Blake dives into a plethora of guys who excelled in the playoffs for their respective teams.

INF Jack Penney (Notre Dame, 2024 elig.) broke out on the Cape this summer. Good feel to hit with game power showing up more and more. Plays good defense as well, shown by his barehanded play in the second clip here.
UTL R.J. Austin (Vanderbilt, 2025 elig.) is one to watch for 2025. Great athlete with lethal hit-speed combo. Can play all over the diamond as well.
RHP Greysen Carter (Vanderbilt, 2024 elig.) has an electric arm. Sitting upper 90s throughout this outing, still hitting 100 MPH deep into the start. Great fastball with developing secondaries.
RHP Bryce Cunningham (Vanderbilt, 2024 elig.) impressed in his second summer with Bourne. FB/SL guy with good feel for both pitches. Stock could soar with development of a third pitch.
2B Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (Rutgers, 2024 elig.) tore it up in the playoffs for Bourne. Well-rounded skillset on both sides of the ball. Team USA invite earlier this summer.
OF Zach Ehrhard (Oklahoma State, 2024 elig.) had a rollercoaster summer for Hyannis. Started off 0-24, but ended up slashing .297/.396/.364 on the regular season. Speedy outfielder who can impact the game in a multitude of ways.
OF Trey Lipsey (Ohio State, 2024 elig.) put together one of the stranger statlines on the Cape this summer. He set a CCBL record by getting hit by a ridiculous 16 pitches during the regular season. Speedy outfielder with the potential to stick in center field long-term.
LHP Tristan Smith (Clemson, 2024 elig.) was a top performer on the Cape this summer. Durable build with good feel for his breaking ball. Will be a draft-eligible sophomore in ‘24.
Had an incredible experience working with the Harbor Hawks this summer. I’m grateful to have worked with an amazing group of people, both personally and baseball-wise. Huge thank you to @nicholasmilo for giving me this opportunity. Big things ahead for the Hawks in 2024!
Now that the dust has settled and the ‘23 season has come to an end, I wanted to take time to thank all the members of the Hyannis Baseball Ops team.
I’d be lying if I said this was an easy season. After having the least amount of roster turnover in ‘22, we were ravished by the injury/portal bug in ‘23. By July 4th we had lost 7 regular offensive starters that accounted for 185 collegiate XBH (102 HR).
At the midway point of the season (July 7) we were a disappointing 10-11-1 and leading the league in K’s.
Instead of allowing the mass exodus of impact players to derail the season (players we lost with collegiate stats listed below) the Ops team rolled up their sleeves and dug in. The team combed through every conference/team in D1. We knew there was no way to replace the amount of power we had lost that late in the summer, so we pivoted. We found and brought in kids who had +contact hoping to limit the k’s and put pressure on defenses with more balls in play.
The new players/identity coupled with our existing players making impressive adjustments at the plate, helped lead to an immediate turnaround.
The team went 15-6-1 in the 2nd half and finished with the 2nd best record on Cape, ultimately losing in game three of the Western finals. The offense also took off in the second half ultimately finishing in the top 5 of most offensive categories (listed below).
Toughest to K (316) 2nd closest (353)
1st in doubles (71)
1st in triples (13)
2nd in OPS (.759)
T 2nd in SLG (.409)
3rd in hits (394)
3rd in RBI (219)
3rd in OBP (.372)
3rd in AVG (.271)
3rd in Runs (253)
Most people don’t realize the amount of hours these kids put into advanced scouting reports, recruiting replacement players, cutting video, coding, and working summer jobs to offset the cost of living on the Cape for the summer. Their hard work is evident in the success of our team, and I know we’ll be seeing them all in MLB front offices soon.
