Behaviorally, he can get a bit grumpy with medical handling and will growl occasionally. This evaluation/diagnosis means that TRUCKER will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home! He's a diabetic senior who was found and taken in pretty recently but brought to us a few weeks later due to a no pet policy. During Trucker's time in a home, he knew he was loved. Trucker would sit on his guardian's lap and gently paw at their face for more pets. Trucker's still trying to find those cuddles by stretching his paws through the door and calling out invitations to anyone walking nearby. Playful and sweet, he only wants to be included and he's absolutely right to keep trying because, truth be told, Trucker does need to work a tiny bit harder to stand out but stand out he does. He's a bit older and has his medical concerns, but he also has his heart and I think that's enough to make him one of the brightest kitties around. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

❤️💔❤️ A BREAKTHROUGH WITH BEAUTIFUL INDIE ❤️💔❤️💔❤️ Indie has come such a long way in just two weeks. She is truly amazing and so incredibly forgiving. 💔❤️ Humans have been unbelievably cruel to her. She most likely never knew what it felt like to be loved. 💔💔💔 But slowly, and surely, Indie has begun to embrace kind words, gentle touches and little belly scratches. Now, she is absolutely crazy about cuddles! It honestly brings tears to our eyes watching this brave girl learn to trust again.💔💔❤️❤️ Just look at her face. Look at those beautiful eyes. ❤️ Her nose is healing, she's gaining weight, and little by little, she's discovering that the world isn't always a cruel place. This Fiver Friday is dedicated to you, Indie. ❤️ Just €5 can help us save so many more animals just like Indie. Animals who are suffering, who have been forgotten, and who are desperately waiting for someone to give them a lifeline. Together, we can give them the second chance they deserve. Please donate €5 this Fiver Friday. For Indie, and for all the animals still waiting for their happy ending. 💔❤️ donate.mylovelyhorserescue.c… Thank you from all the humans and animals at MLHR ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Willow is an older whippet around 9yrs & 13kg from China. She was rescued from the meat trade via @CandyCaneRescue who asked us to help as she has a few health issues and that could not be fixed in China. Willow is extremely loving and sweet 🥰 So far she’s had a CT scan, x ray, blood tests and her eyes checked. She had an old break in the leg, nothing to be done. She’s going blind. Will see eye specialist next. The CT scan was not entirely conclusive regarding the lump on nose but we are waiting to hear more but looks like a vascular malformation. Willow needs a loving quiet home. She’s had a rubbish life… let’s share and change that 🙏🏻❤️ Of course any adopter will be supported with any vets bills going forward. Plz share Willow 🙏🏻❤️

I REALLY NEED YOU TODAY. 💔 I have tried not to keep asking. I have stretched every donation, bought winter materials little by little, and kept everything moving for as long as I could. But now, we are running on almost nothing. Our medicines have been ordered — but I need to pay the bill before they are released. Our feed has been ordered — but I need to pay before it can be delivered. And winter cannot wait. The nights are already painfully cold, while some of the warm spaces we are building for our most vulnerable animals are still unfinished. It is also the end of the month. Wages and bills are due. For days, hardly anything has come in — sometimes just £5 or £10 — while hundreds of animals still depend on us every single day. I cannot stretch what simply isn’t there anymore. Please, if you have been thinking of helping TAWF, today is the day I need you. Even £5, £10 or £20 matters when enough of us come together. And if you genuinely cannot donate, please SHARE this. Our posts cannot reach the people who might help unless you carry them beyond our page. 🙏❤️ 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20…

Please watch all four of Lucky Moon’s legs carefully — not only the front two. Look at what years of pain and compensation have done to every step she takes. This is not simply a horse with one damaged leg. Years of pain, neglect and struggling to compensate have affected almost her entire body. Her ribs stand out beneath her skin. The muscles that should cover and support her shoulders, back and hindquarters have wasted away. Her hip bones and shoulder blades are sharply prominent, while the areas around her temples are deeply sunken. Her body has been depleted for so long that there is almost no healthy muscle left to support her frame. And then there are her legs. Her old hind-leg fracture healed in the wrong position, leaving permanent deformity and severe arthritis. Because the bone joined out of alignment, every step places abnormal stress through the limb and causes further pain. She swings and crosses that leg because it can no longer move normally. For years, the other three legs have had to compensate for the damaged one, carrying weight and absorbing forces they were never meant to bear. Now all four limbs show the consequences. Her stride is short and guarded. Her feet are severely worn from the abnormal way she has been forced to move. Her whole body has adapted around pain. Those who followed Serena will understand why looking at Lucky Moon frightens us so much. Serena came to us with one badly damaged leg after being forced to continue working. Gradually, the strain destroyed the other three legs too. We watched her body compensate until eventually all four limbs were affected. But Serena reached that devastating stage gradually. Lucky Moon has arrived already there. Her body condition is poorer, her muscle loss is severe, and the damage to her movement is already affecting her entire frame. Serena remained with us for almost a year. Looking at Lucky Moon today, we know we are beginning her journey from an extraordinarily difficult place. Some people have suggested corrective shoes, but after years of her body adapting to this deformity, we cannot suddenly or aggressively force her limbs into a “normal” position. That could place even more stress on the old fracture and arthritic joints. Pakistan also has no specialist equine therapeutic farriers available to us, so any hoof work must be careful and conservative. Our goal is to help her gain weight, rebuild whatever muscle her body is still capable of rebuilding, reduce her pain, protect her exhausted limbs and give her the comfort and dignity she has been denied for far too long. Please help us care for Lucky Moon. Even if you cannot donate, sharing her story may help her reach someone who can. Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate She has already survived more than any animal should have to endure. Now she is finally safe. ❤️

I started preparing for winter while it was still hot. I researched the cheapest, strongest options I could find — tyre beds, storage-drum dens, locally stitched fleece blankets, and now wooden houses. I started asking for help months ago. But winter is already here… and still, the appeal keeps circling mostly among the same few wonderful people who have already done so much. That is the part that hurts. Hundreds see the posts. Many like them. But only a few share. A like stays inside the same circle. A share can take us to someone new. Please, if you cannot donate, SHARE. The nights are getting colder, and I am still waiting to finish what I started months ago for these animals. ❤️
THE WOOD HAS ARRIVED! 😭❤️ Another winter milestone! I am honestly so happy seeing these plain wooden pieces standing against the wall today. Because in just a few days… you won’t recognise them. They are about to become warm, cosy little houses for our animals. 🏠🐾 This is what your donations are doing in real time. As soon as help comes in, we are putting it straight back into winter preparation. Even the smallest donation can become something real — a piece of wood today, a warm little home tomorrow. Each little house costs around £8 to make, and we still need many more. And we are far from finished. We still need: warm shelters for the dogs who roam freely around the sanctuary, tarpaulins and winter gowns for our donkeys, more bedding and blankets, and heating solutions for our huge animal halls. But today, I just want to celebrate this step with you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone helping us build warmth piece by piece. ❤️ Please keep helping and SHARING — winter is already here, and we still have so much left to do. 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20…

Every step she took felt like she was walking through agony. She arrived at our shelter late night after almost eight hours on the road. When she stepped down from the vehicle, her front legs seemed to fold beneath her. Her knees buckle with every step, and watching her try to walk honestly felt like someone was stamping on my heart. What have we become, that an animal can be allowed to reach this state? This beautiful older mare was found by our wonderful supporters Mr and Mrs Imran Khan. While Imran was visiting Pakistan from the UK, he found her tied outside — exposed to the heat, rain and weather, often without proper food or water. He pleaded with the owner. He argued. He tried everything. In the end, the only immediate way he could get her out was to buy her. She was not fit to make the long journey to us then, so Imran kept her at his home, arranged treatment and cared for her until she was strong enough to travel. Before returning to the UK, he arranged for her to come to TAWF. And now she is finally here. ❤️ Tomorrow morning we are sending her bloods for testing. She has arthritis, but I am especially concerned about the way her front knees bend and buckle when she walks. To my equine-experienced followers: I would really value your thoughts and experience on what you would want investigated in a mare presenting like this. Our veterinary team will of course make the medical decisions, but your experience is always valuable to us. And I need another bit of advice. She appears to be around 25 years old — very similar in age to our completely blind boy, Lucky Star. Lucky Star has a large, comfortable area with soft ground, which would also suit her beautifully. Would older horses like these generally benefit from companionship in the same space, provided introductions are done carefully? Or would you keep them beside one another but separated at first? We would, of course, make sure there was no possibility of breeding. And finally… this beautiful girl needs a name. ❤️ What should we call her? Please SHARE her story too. She has already spent far too many years unseen. 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate

I once saw a live dolphin tied with ropes to the back of a bicycle, being carried along a road as though she were nothing more than luggage. I have never forgotten that sight. Since then, I have seen enough cruelty towards dolphins to know that awareness is not something we should limit to a single day. A dolphin is not a catch. Not a possession. Not a prop for photographs or entertainment. She is a living, feeling wild animal — and the water is her home. 🐬💙 Pakistan is home to extraordinary dolphins, including the endangered Indus River dolphin. They are part of our natural heritage, and protecting them begins with something very simple: recognising that their lives have value. Please teach children to respect wildlife. Speak up when you see cruelty. Never support the capture, harassment or exploitation of wild animals. Let dolphins live where they belong — wild, free and safe. 🌊🐬 #ProtectDolphins #ProtectWildlife #WildAndFree #TAWF,
