A mega-interesting stat: "Almost 52% of the planet’s truly permanent surface water occurs in North America, home to less than 5% of the population in 2015." nature.com/articles/nature20…

Behavioral biases. Distribution is pretty normal, but 95 always rounds to 100.

It's the summer of extreme weather whiplash with places, like Texas, St. Louis, Kentucky, going from drought to deluge. China, Europe, Africa, Death Valley, the list goes on. apne.ws/XEdeICb

Historic climate legislation is now law. And it is a massive opportunity for state leaders across the country. Here is a roundup of what IRA could mean for states —especially if they take full advantage and invest boldly in their clean energy economies ⬇️
This seems indicative of how people feel climate change won't impact them directly. I wonder if a higher percentage would say they're concerned about its effects on people broadly.
Americans are less concerned now about how climate change might impact them personally — and about how their personal choices affect the climate — than they were three years ago, according to a June AP-NORC poll shows. apne.ws/tdpA7wx
