“My brother and I are both living with blood cancer experiences. This year, I am turning the same age my mom was when I got sick. I want to go to Yosemite. What a cool idea to go hiking AND make it mean something, right?” -Monica and Zach, blood cancer survivors This isn’t just about the trail; it’s about raising awareness and supporting those impacted by blood cancer, like Monica and her brother Zach. Every step matters. Blood cancer can affect teens and young adults during the most important stages of growing up. For Siblings Day and Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Awareness Week, we recognize the brothers and sisters who support adolescents and young adults through overwhelming challenges and major life decisions no one their age should have to face.
