You know what?
I had my convictions, and felt strongly about them.
But now that the ‘Daily Baller Report’ hasn’t listed Giddey as one of the 30 worst defenders in basketball, I’ve seen the errors of my way, and I’m ready to repent for my sins against the Church of Giddey.

Yes, fit matters.
And that’s why Giddey not being able to guard backcourt players is always going to be a functional issue when you pair him with Matas, Powell and Caleb, who will, in some capacity, need to scale down defensively to cover the flaws of their ‘point guard’.
Yep, and that’s the part I think a lot of Bulls fans are not understanding
Fit is what matters, and Josh’s fit on this team as a facilitator complements having Matas Buzelis, Caleb Wilson and Norman Powell being our 3 top options to score the ball

Giddey is a ‘point guard’ who’s entering year six with the same key flaws: below-average handles, creates zero separation when defenses pressure the ball, and can’t guard his position because he’s a bad athlete.
These flaws are obvious and inadvertently impact others.

People this dumb should be used to turn a big wheel to power stuff
People need to stop posting PRA and putting him in number comps with very obviously superior players and pretend this is somehow meaningful
Norman Powell, Nicolas Claxton, and Caleb Wilson are all good defenders
Even Matas Buzelis has room to grow defensively
Pair with guys like Okoro, Hield, even Noa Essengue off the bench, those rotations will take pressure off Josh Giddey to be a lockdown defender

Ricky has and continues to be very correct about Giddey
"The Bulls are not going to be a serious team until they find a guard better than Josh Giddey." - @SBN_Ricky
Lots of Bulls insight on yesterday's @Jason1Goff Unscripted.
