Ryan Gravenberch vs Tottenham:
1. The first frame is a simple one-touch pass to Mac Allister. Instead, he takes a touch and decides dribble, loses the ball in the process and gives Spurs an opportunity to counter, although stopped brilliantly by Jacquet.
2. In the second frame, ignores a very basic pass to Koumas, which would set him through on goal. That moment is killed.
3. Third frame, he receives the ball but instead of going for the best possible pass, he tries to dribble and loses the ball and sets Tottenham on the counter.
4. Fourth frame, he ignores a simple one-two pass to Kerkez, in what would've opened up Spurs. That moment is killed.
In a football pitch, the ball moves faster than anyone. If you're a midfielder who lacks a passing instinct, you should at least be competent off the ball to protect the defence or support the attack. Tactical/positional discipline. Gravenberch is a very talented player, but he lacks the basic minerals to play midfield at an elite level without having his hands held by other players. This is why a 10, as well as the attack, will always struggle depending on him as a 6 to progress the ball. Also why any defence will also struggle depending on him to break up play, unless there's a competent babysitter beside him. #LFC

Presented a well-received statement at the BRICS Meeting emphasizing the changing dynamics of global trade. Low- and middle-income developing countries are now a 45% share of world trade, the BRICS share alone is 25%. Despite serious global trade turbulence, the value of global trade in goods and services is at a high of $35 trillion in 2025. Growth in merchandise trade is strong at 4.6% in 2025 and 3.2% Q1 2026, partly driven by trade in AI goods. The share of global merchandise trade on WTO MFN terms remains at a strong 72% of total trade. Nevertheless, the WTO and the Multilateral Trading System (MTS) need reforms to avoid further erosion of rules and to maintain resilience. I urged the BRICS to be more strategic at the @wto and to help drive the reforms. In this regard, the New Delhi Declaration underscoring strong support by BRICS for the MTS is welcome. Thanks to the Indian Authorities for a very useful and well-executed BRICS meeting.

Everyone should see this for the new year… it’s so simple yet intricately profound
He should have passed the ball. Simple!
Honestly, teams will have to find ways to stop Ekitike because right now they don't.
Arne Slot has given him the right freedom just to play like he is on the streets.
In this era of positional restrictions, this is very dangerous for any opponent.
