Comparing @jamesWebbSpaceT to my humble @Celestron #EdgeHD925. I have my mind blown thanks to the power of the latest @SiriL_Official
More data is coming in tonight (below data is 100x 180s from 5th of October). @zwoastro ASI294MC Pro. #nofilter #Astrophotography
This is the image that I considered my first real #astrophotography. Today exactly 7 years ago, I shot this with a @TeleVueOptics Pronto, a @CanonUSA 60D on a @SkyWatcherUSA StarAdventurer, exceeding the max payload😅
I should revisit that image with my current kit.
Canon 80D (stock)
Samyang 14mm f/2.8
ISO6400
26x 15s
Sequator + Photoshop

@erfmufn what have you done to me!???
Look at this Astronomy Photographer of 2024 video from 14:30 and onward. My mind completed the sentence of Paddy Rodgers much different than he actually did... 😁😂🤣😇

Scouting for a sunset pic on one of the Dolmen in the Netherlands on a cloudy day. Then, as sunset approaches, it seems clear. Unfortunately the approaching clouds from the west ruin the view. Tomorrow a second try. If the predicted clear night holds, I’ll even do one Milky Way!

A Florida family has formally asked NASA to pay for its damages after a chunk of an ISS battery pack smashed through the roof of their home. It’s the first time this has happened.

My first #YouTube video since March… my first in summer... That lovely Dutch summer… the video tries to explain the lack of content on my channel lately…

Nice thread about the META AI objection process. I did object too. Both on FB and insta. On Insta I couldn’t submit the form using my phone. Had to do it from the laptop.
What was your experience? Or will you simply allow it?
1. I'm legit shocked by the design of @Meta's new notification informing us they want to use the content we post to train their AI models. It's intentionally designed to be highly awkward in order to minimise the number of users who will object to it. Let me break it down.

So here's a story of, by far, the weirdest bug I've encountered in my CS career.
Along with @maciejwolczyk we've been training a neural network that learns how to play NetHack, an old roguelike game, that looks like in the screenshot. Recenlty, something unexpected happened.

The video detailing my #Astrophotography Cheats is live: Stacking Sunday 9: Do I get too creative with this Blinking Planetary edit?
youtu.be/9Dec7Bv1BKM
#StackingSunday
Did I create art or is it still ranking as #astrophotography?
This is 101x 120s of subs on the Blinking Planetary in Cygnus, shot with the @Celestron #EdgeHD8 and the @zwoasi 294MC Pro using the #ASIAIR Plus. Processed using @SiriL_Official and Photoshop.

My video for today should be done in time for an upload on Sunday as well.
🤞
Today another of my videos went live. I had it done on time, but uploaded it too late so the processing on the @YouTube side made it push over to today.
It is about this image. This is the combination of half an hour each, using LRGB filters. It is the Coma Cluster.
The video can be found here: youtube.com/watch?v=BL-kBmg8…
The Coma Cluster holds up to a THOUSAND galaxies. Many of them are visible already in my relatively short exposed images. Perhaps I should aim the Edge on it too.
This video is part of a series called "Stacking Sunday", where I connect my external hard drive to see which data is on it which hasn't been stacked yet.
