Whenever I hear the term "lost technology," this is the game that comes to mind. Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG is an undisputed masterpiece. Unfortunately, with the original development materials and source code lost, a remake has long been considered virtually impossible. However, there's a technique called static recompilation that can bring classic games back to life without relying on emulation. Unlike emulation, static recompilation translates the original machine code into C code, making it more lightweight, easier to port across different platforms, and much easier to enhance with modern features.
