SAD NEWS: Actor Tom Skerritt has passed away. He had so many memorable roles in movies and TV shows….
TOP GUN
ALIEN
The TV series PICKET FENCES.
And maybe my favorite role from him - the spotlight-seeking science advisor David Drumlin in CONTACT. He was such a great antagonist to Jodie Foster’s character.
I always loved it when he popped up on screen. What an incredible career.
Tom Skerritt was 93 years old. RIP.

50 years ago today, October 22, 1976, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band released Night Moves. 🎸 It was Bob's first studio album to credit the Silver Bullet Band, though the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section backs him on four of the nine songs. Favorite track?
Rock and Roll Never Forgets
Night Moves
The Fire Down Below
Sunburst
Sunspot Baby
Mainstreet
Come to Poppa
Ship of Fools
Mary Lou
See how a song Bob almost didn't record became the title track.👇️

Shocked & Stunned, we talked for several minutes Sunday evening at the Annual Country Music Hall of Fame Induction & Medallion Ceremony.. Such Sad News,
“John Anderson (1954–2026) was a one-of-a-kind stylist. Whether borrowing inspiration from Lefty Frizzell or the Florida swamp land, he brought creative soul to the world. John famously gave life to Billy Joe Shaver’s lyric, ‘I’m just an old chunk of coal, but I’ll be a diamond someday.’ He was already a diamond then, and a diamond he always will be.” — Kyle Young, CEO

John Anderson died in his sleep on Wednesday (Oct. 21.) He was 71 years old, and had made his final public appearance just three days prior. 🕊️
Anderson was the third Country Music Hall of Famer who died in 2026. The others were Dolly Parton and songwriter Don Schlitz. And the genre has also lost several other important members and prominent figures this year.

Happy Birthday to the late Curly Howard, out of Brooklyn, New York; Curly Howard left behind an indelible legacy as the most popular and culturally influential member of The Three Stooges. Born Jerome Lester Horwitz, Curly redefined physical comedy through an uninhibited, fluid style that made him a foundational icon of American slapstick humor. Decades after his passing, his vocal stylings, rubber-faced expressions, and kinetic energy continue to shape modern animation, comedic timing, and pop culture—Behind his chaotic screen persona, Curly’s life was a study in sharp contrast. While his high-energy slapstick brought joy to millions, the punishing production schedules and an exuberant, taxing personal lifestyle took a massive toll on his health. He suffered a deliberating stroke on set in 1946, forcing an early retirement at the height of his career. He passed away just a few years later in 1952 at only 48 years old; 10-22-1903 to 1-18-1952……

You have to watch every second of this to fully appreciate it. Genuinely one of the best tributes to Dolly Parton ever.
Jelly Roll just traded a loyal country audience for one cheap Kimmel laugh.
You don’t get to mock the President then hide behind “it’s just a joke,” and expect MAGA to keep streaming your music.
Choose a lane … You just chose wrong.
Pssst … the President looks amazing at 80!!
Jelly Roll just called the President of the United States a “fat pig” on national television.
A 41-year-old arrogant prick taking shots at an 80-year-old man from the safety of a late-night stage.
Completely out of line.
Funny how the same guy who leaned on Ozempic to drop 300 lbs is now body-shaming the President.
Career just ended.
Patriots, do your thing!

Released in 1961, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” became one of Elvis Presley’s most timeless and beloved songs. Decades later, its gentle melody and heartfelt lyrics still resonate with generations around the world. It captures the feeling of a love so natural and sincere that, no matter how hard you try, your heart simply can’t help but fall. ❤️🎶
In 1973, an estimated 1.5 billion people watched Elvis perform in the legendary “Aloha from Hawaii” concert, at a time when the internet didn’t even exist. Elvis had no idea just how iconic he already was. 👑❤️
