Tesla's robotaxi launch in June could offset declining auto sales by tapping into the ride-hailing market. With Model Ys driving autonomously, Tesla aims to generate new revenue streams, potentially transforming its business model into a new technology platform similar to iOS.
Here's some of the future revenue streams that even Wall Street has not taken into account:
Entertainment and Connectivity Apps:
-In-vehicle infotainment systems with streaming services (movies, music, podcasts).
Imagine being in a robotaxi with your friends on a 2-hour trip and there's a Karaoke App in the car, great sound system and centre display, Teslas are already fully equipped to offer such features. All for an additional $5 an hour. Would you pay for this? I know I would.
-The app development opportunities are huge as
there are now no human drivers and passengers have plenty of privacy and free time during rides.
Food and Shopping:
-In-ride e-commerce platforms for browsing and ordering products during the trip.
-Vending-style dispensers for snacks, drinks, or coffee within the vehicle.
-Partnerships with local restaurants or cafes for pre-ordered food delivery to the robotaxi.
-Temperature-controlled compartments for keeping food/drinks fresh during the ride.
Tourism & Concierge Services:
-With Grok integration, city tours will now be possible with Grok as your virtual tour guide.
-Restaurant & hotel recommendations and booking functionality at your fingertips
Social and Group Features:
-Shared ride options with dynamic pricing for carpooling.
-In-vehicle communication systems for group rides or connecting with other robotaxis in a convoy.
Advertising and Promotions:
-Targeted ads or promotions displayed on screens, tailored to passenger preferences or location.
-Partnerships with local businesses for exclusive discounts or offers during the ride.
-Tesla could become a huge player in advertising similar to Google and Meta
X Money:
-With all payments on Robotaxi platform being handled by X Money app and customers topping-up regularly to their digital wallet, this will create a new ecosystem and a suite of new services ranging from personal finance to e-commerce. Will we one day see a Robinhood + ApplePay style app evolve from this platform?
In conclusion, Tesla's Robotaxi is now in the early stages of totally disrupting the status quo in personal transportation. We are potentially witnessing the release of the first iPhone/iOS/AppStore ecosystem of the transportation world.

Idk how to explain, but John looks like he was custom made to be the CEO of Apple.
Just look at that face. He looks like he’s designed by Apple in California. 😭

If I owned $UBER and $TSLA started dropping robotaxis into my market, I wouldn’t be celebrating. I’d be paying very close attention. You are now competing with one of the best capitalized companies in the world, led by perhaps the greatest entrepreneur of our generation and maybe even in history.
$TSLA is entering with cars, software, autonomy, distribution, and a balance sheet that can absorb years of pain if necessary. Yet somehow some $UBER shareholders have convinced themselves this is bullish because “Uber is a middleman that can aggregate the rides and has “utilization today.”
Maybe $UBER will do well, but that logic is bizarre to me, and quite frankly, it is a type of investor dementia I cannot quite categorize or understand.

Why am I paying for uber if I can just drive myself to the airport then tell my tesla to drive itself home
It probably wasn't obvious that Nokia was dying when the iPhone first came out until it was truly dead in the water. Same thing happening now. $TSLA $UBER
The one thing I never hear from the $UBER bulls is how they will compete given Tesla’s unit economics advantage.
Cybercab will be lower cost to manufacture, lower cost to operate, and also offers a better customer experience with the interior of the cab. This will directly translate to the lowest cost to operate, and therefore to the lowest customer price per mile.
So while I acknowledge the value of Uber’s network and accomplishments to date, I can’t see them competing profitably under any reasonable set of scenarios.
And the moat of their network strikes me as extremely fragile. It wasn’t long ago that most Uber drivers I spoke with also drove for Lyft, and they would take rides from whichever platform gave them the best earnings profile, often switching multiple times throughout a single day. As a consumer I did the same, until somewhat recently as Uber pulled away.
If I’m a rider needing to choose between Uber and a Tesla Robotaxi, it’s true that I’m more familiar with the Uber and at least initially theres likely to be some stasis that prevents an immediate switch. But at sone point, all I will have to do is download the Robotaxi app and see that my rides are meaningfully cheaper with this option.
So I’ll give it a whirl, and then I’ll realize that on top of being cheaper, it’s also more comfortable, more private, and an overall superior customer experience.
Uber does have its advantages in this fight, but they are not durable advantages.
If the Cybercab event is already expected to be a nothingburger, the nothingburgerness of it would itself be a nothingburger. Therefore, it is likely to be a somethingburger. That's my investment thesis. $TSLA
We live in a world of AGI and yet $TSLA is trading like they just found out about Cybercab this morning. Fintwit selling everything yesterday means you gotta do the opposite.

Good morning to all $TSLA investors who haven't sold a single share after Q2 earnings!
Adding Terafab and Solar Cell factory to this list. Heck lots of things happened in the past 2 weeks. $TSLA
$TSLA is now much further along than ever before on all fronts: FSD v15, Cybercabs, Semi, Robotics
More factories, equipments, employees, technologies than ever before. What changed?
Even revenue is the highest ever for Q2 and yet the stock is now at $300 instead of $490?
Make it make sense..
$TSLA Q3 2025 delivery numbers was 497k. Q3 2026 will be >500k and that would really be a shock to the stock price. Grab it while we're <$400.

OH. MY. GOODNESS.
CITADEL HAS BOUGHT A MAJORITY OF THE PUBLIC ASSETS FROM LEOPOLD'S SITUATIONAL AWARENESS FUND.
So...Citadel scares everyone on Tuesday about a surprise rate hike during FOMC that WE ALL KNEW was not going to happen...
On Wednesday, the entire market freaks out about the rate hike which causes the selling to compound on itself creating 50-70% drawdowns across the board in high beta semicondcutor names...
Which means Leopold who we now know had $45B of assets and was 400% LEVERED ends up being the sacrifice as he gets liquidated at what theoretically could be the bottom due to not having the margin requirements to keep solvent...
AND THE PERSON WHO CAUSED THE SELLOFF WITH THE RATE HIKE FEARS ENDS UP COMING IN TO BUY HIS ASSETS FOR 40 TO 50 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR.
By the way, Leopold is getting married this weekend. I think he wanted to make sure he wasn't getting margin called during his wedding.
A vet on wall street in Ken Griffin takes out the young new kid.
ABSOLUTE. CINEMA.

You guys want my honest brutal opinion?
A lot of these names that are down 40-60% will never see their 52-week highs again. And if they do, it could take years.
Every market cycle creates new leaders. A handful keep leading, while the majority of high-beta names never reclaim their former glory.
It’s an expensive lesson, but it’s one you’ll only have to learn once.
