It was good to see some cable ploughing happening at the East Kent ploughing match on Wednesday. Watching these twin steam engines work in tandem across the field with a balance plough is an extraordinary reminder of how heavy land was farmed back in the day! 🚜💨

Packed out at the East Kent Ploughing Match today! 🚜 Brilliant to celebrate local agricultural history and the skill on display. Modern farming has largely moved away from soil-damaging deep ploughing towards zero-till, but it's fantastic to see the heritage kept alive!
