the best part about Frierens demons is how irl discussion about them shows how effective they truly would be as an apocalyptic threat they use your empathy and humanity against you because those are the two traits they lack because they are literally demons they dont have families, they dont feel love, they dont have understanding, thats the part of the storytelling that is layed out and depicted in full for the audience that needs to be shown in the story to the characters so that THEY get it they have Himmel literally play your part and that costs another man his daughter and it takes that responsibility and guilt to get it through Himmels head that the demons are not to be reasoned with thats what makes them so effective, you have been shown exactly what they are and yet you and anyone who trusts you would be lead directly into the fire just for having this way of thinking, thats what makes this depiction of demons so effective, you have all the pieces of the puzzle and yet they would STILL manage to convince you to let them eat you
