🏠 Are you 65 or older or a disabled homeowner? Here’s what to know about Prop A. Prop A would not increase school property taxes for qualifying senior citizens or disabled homeowners whose taxes are frozen, as long as they have applied for and received the appropriate homestead exemption and no significant improvements are made to the home. Homeowners age 65 or older with a home assessed at $200,000 or less will now see their school district taxes drop to $0 if they have filed for and received the Over-65 Exemption. Check your exemption status at the El Paso Central Appraisal District property search at epcad.org/Search or call (915) 780-2131.
