Building Mythra: From First-Principles Geometry to High-Performance Reality. ⛵⚡ Presenting the core R&D for Sailing Mythra—a 12m (~40ft) ocean-going catamaran engineered for efficiency, speed, and autonomy. 🔹 Current Stage: Laying down the primary structural "bones"—bulkhead wireframes, hull genetics, and baseline displacement geometry in SolidWorks. 🔹 Execution: 100% single-handed design & engineering. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing the raw engineering progression in public: from section curves and hydrostatics to CFD flow simulations and composite structural FEA. High-performance naval architecture built line by line. Follow along for the build updates! 📐🌊 #NavalArchitecture #YachtDesign #SolidWorks #CAD #Engineering #BuildInPublic

Just like the automotive industry shifted from massive V8s to efficient 1.0L turbocharged engines, software and AI are overdue for a major "downsizing" shift.

Every ambitious hardware project needs a solid ground zero. Here’s where the physical magic happens: our workshop facility, dedicated staging area, and transport logistics ready for Sailing Mythra. Plenty of greenfield space to scale operations as the build progresses from bulkheads to hull integration. Building in public means showing the raw infrastructure, not just the polished renders. 🚜⚓ #Manufacturing #YachtDesign #CAD #Hardware #StartupUP

I know this isn't the purpose of this X account, and I’m not usually one to do this sort of thing. But Lito is a good person who makes the world a better place. Sadly, it is heartbreaking to see good people go through this, while those who are bad only grow stronger. @ionis_pharma — Ionis Pharmaceuticals — ION717 trial @broadinstitute — PRiSM trial (NCT07444580) 📌 @harvard @mayoclinic

Mythra Update: Hull surfaces📐⚓ Hull surfaces are finished. I also added standard and reinforced thickness. The next step: Run some simulations and analyses to evaluate how the hull performs (regarding buoyancy, strength, and weight). #NavalArchitecture #YachtDesign #SolidWorks #CAD #BuildInPublic #Engineering

Mythra Update: Defining the Skeleton 📐⚓ Bulkheads do much more than partition cabins and living spaces—they are the core structural spine of a catamaran. During construction, these transverse sections act as the physical jig/mould that dictates the hull’s geometry. Once framed, they distribute global rigging loads and withstand torsional stresses at sea. Laying down the primary structural grid in SOLIDWORKS xDesign. Next step: skinning the hulls over this skeleton. 🌊 #NavalArchitecture #YachtDesign #SolidWorks #CAD #BuildInPublic #Engineering

Regional regulatory blocks (like recent platform restrictions on Brazil`s Discord) are a stark reminder of why infrastructure redundancy is mandatory for remote engineering. When collaborating with global clients, your communication uptime must be 100% bulletproof. How I guarantee zero workflow friction regardless of local ISP or regulatory shifts: 📡 Orbital Redundancy: Dual Starlink setup (Fixed + Mobile Mini) for off-grid, ISP-independent global connectivity. 🛠️ Self-Hosted Fallbacks: Self-hosted communication nodes and private routing on local servers. 🔒 Encrypted Protocols: Dedicated VPNs and async-first operations (Git, private mail, direct integration). Geopolitical shifts and local network blocks shouldn't disrupt technical delivery. Build systems that don't depend on single points of failure.

Introducing our flagship project: Sailing Mythra ⛵💨 A 12-meter (or ~40 feet, for those measuring with ancient kings' body parts) ocean-going catamaran engineered for circumnavigation and optimized for a couple. The design philosophy is simple: ⚙️ Performance Over Volume: Drawing inspiration from icons like Leopard & Outremer, but prioritizing speed, seakeeping, and hydrodynamic efficiency over bloated interior volume. ✈️ Form Follows Function: Like a fighter jet, beauty comes from optimized functional geometry—not forced cosmetic styling. 🛠️ Frugal & Reliable Engineering: No unproven "bleeding-edge" gimmicks. Built around proven tech, flat-panel geometries, and simple marinized systems to bypass complex supply chain bottlenecks without sacrificing reliability. High-performance cruising shouldn't mean over-engineered fragility. 🌊📐 #NavalArchitecture #CatamaranDesign #SolidWorks #YachtDesign #Sailing

I'll definitely take some time to test it.

The plastic cover on an ultra-freezer pressure switch dry-rotted and cracked. OEM solution? They don't sell the cover separately. You have to buy the entire assembly ($80+) + pay technical labor (refrigerant recovery, leak risks, downtime). First-principles solution: 📐 10 minutes in SolidWorks 🖨️ 3D print a custom enclosure 💰 <10% of the replacement cost, zero system downtime Engineering isn't always about complex rockets. Sometimes it's just refusing to pay a 1,000% markup for a plastic box. 🛠️⚡

11 years ago, Microsoft published this "Future Vision of Productivity". How far off is this from your daily work routine? 👇 (full video link in the comments below) What they predicted: 📺 Hardware: Transparent screens, interactive glass desks, holographic walls. 🏢 Workplace: Executives using giant glass panels to recruit experts via "performance metrics". What actually happened: 🤖 AI took over: We changed how software thinks, not how screens look. 🌍 Work shifted: Remote work, async tools, and AI-driven autonomy redefined global hiring. Did Microsoft predict a glorified 1990s corporate structure on cooler glass, or are we still heading there?

My take as a mechanical designer: We mastered the software & local AI faster than we mastered cheap, high-reliability hardware. Software scaled, hardware hit economic limits.
