For a news outlet obsessed with pressers, @abcnews missed most of Albo on #helenhaines He confirmed it was deliberate & someone was in custody. Lucky I watched @7NewsSydney & saw key info. Praying Helen is ok. Shocking & despicable. Who wins? Assailant must have family who suffer

So glad @MCA_Australia removed the bronze head. What does an English black woman have to do with Australia? It should have been of an Aboriginal woman by an Indigenous artist. I like the helmets, as it reminds us of futile wars now raging. theaustralian.com.au/culture… via @australian

Gee, seemingly by all media accounts, the #flydubai plane must have landed itself. No indication otherwise, if the pilot was wounded from the stabbing? Is this not a logical question? #Journalism certainly is in a poor state.

I don’t understand why @Greens don’t elect @sarahinthesen8 as their leader. She’s the best media & Senate Estimates performer, she’s the most visible & recognisable, the most experienced & importantly she’s the most sensible. Instead we got Ned Flanders. #auspol

So sad to hear @AlanKohler is leaving his post @abcnews One of the few finance experts who uses plain English & explains things clearly with his fascinating graphs & wry sense of humour. He will be missed, but David Chow is a worthy & delightful successor smh.com.au/culture/tv-and-ra…

Another great day at #bastillesydney Delicious beef bourgignon, beignets & chouquettes, which I’d never had before. Also enjoyed a Bordeaux red & some warming mulled wine. Entertaining dancing & drumming from #sydneysamba too. Can’t wait for next year! On until 8.30pm tonight.

The funniest movie #samneill was in was The Hunt For The Wilderpeople. I just killed myself laughing. It’s also very sweet, although his character is initially a curmudgeon. The kid is great, as is Rachel House. It’s on @SBS tonight, but you can watch @SBSOnDemand @TwoPaddocks

I get no telco can guarantee no network outages, but they can guarantee replacing ageing equipment when it’s needed. @Telstra hasn’t explained WHY it decided not to replace a $30k piece of infrastructure, particularly when it’s responsible for maintaining the Triple 0 network.

So shocked & saddened to hear about #samneill dying. Such a great actor & he seemed like a wonderful human being, very funny & self-deprecating. Every time I saw him interviewed he was incredibly humble & couldn’t seem to believe his luck. He is one for the ages. @TwoPaddocks

Damning auditor report of Snowy 2.0 exposes multiple failures. You’d be hard pressed to find a more disastrous infrastructure project than this. Malcolm Turnbull vanity project. Why @AustralianLabor persisted with it is beyond me. #auspol theaustralian.com.au/busines… via @australian

According to @abc730 #datacentres are forecast to use 12% of Australia’s electricity. A proposed centre 2hrs north of Adelaide will use enough power for 800,000 homes. Where are we going to get that much extra electricity from?

So as usual, the bully is paid to go away, while the victim is sacked. #kyleandjackieo #ARN #bullying

How ridiculous @ACTPolicing is going to investigate the rogue poster at today’s @PressClubAust What are they going to charge @GetUp with - mischief? The Press Club should just review their security.

Love this. Haven’t laughed so much in ages!
Socceroos: - 18 players w direct immigrant or refugee heritage - Over 15 different ethnic backgrounds - 4 players born in/raised in refugee camps - 3 players born outside Aus If you support One Nation, then don’t support the Socceroos. Just be a racist, not a racist hypocrite.

While I don’t want hospitality businesses to go bust, it’s hard to feel sorry for venues charging $20+ for a glass of wine. Of course people aren’t having two or more! People are looking for value not rip offs. smh.com.au/goodfood/sydney-e…

The final whistle when the Socceroos won in the heart of the supporters section. My mate filmed and you can see the relief on my face.

Most of this years Race Around The World contestants don’t understand you need to do stories unique to the countries you’re in. That’s why they send you outside the ABC studio! Only Jayden and Elliott seem to get it. Very disappointed by the so-called talent. #RATW @ABCTV
