I agree that Levi/ Eren were insanely popular in the anime fandom at first, but it was the author who, by revealing the story between Mikasa and Eren, as well as the connections between Levi, Hanji, and Erwin, made sure there was no trace of them left.
Go*yu never had any special relationship with each other; their fans did exactly what fans of other shonen series did, and now they're angry because the author refused to go along with their nonsense.
What's there to be jealous of if your ship isn't popular anymore they don't even put your guys together in the season promos anymore.
