Refactoring code needs discipline, you should do it frequently and mercilessly. Never, ever ask permission to refactor, it's part of your job.

CTO, Director of Engineering, Eng Manager are titles. Leadership is something you do Leader is what you become when someone else believes in your vision enough to follow you A title gives you authority, but your actions earn you influence, this is what people follow

Busy doesn't mean productive. Parkinson 1955: "Work expands so as to fill the time available." 70 years later, execs spend ~23h/week in meetings (<10h in the 1960s). My fix: every recurring meeting needs a decision/owner. Neither? It goes. Empty slot = control #leadership

Busy doesn't mean productive. It's on a sticky note on my desk. Execs spend ~23h/week in meetings (<10h in the 1960s). Workers get ~2 min of uninterrupted time in core hours. A full calendar shows how much you're needed. An empty slot shows how much control you have.

2 days at Confitura. Thanks InPost for sending me. Spoke on Adopting AI in companies. A real conversation, not a monologue. Talks that impressed me: Rate Limiting (Bartosz Gałek & Ece Tavasli) and Mike Wojtyna on DMs and architecture. It's always amazing to meet new people!

I've run a lot of system design interviews. The pattern: candidates name Kafka, sharded DBs, distributed systems with confidence, but can't say what breaks them. Hot partitions. Replication lag. Retries that duplicate writes. Design for failure, not just the happy path.

🥳 I am really happy to be on stage at Confitura this year. I'll be talking about rolling out AI across engineering teams, not as a tooling upgrade, but as a real shift in how teams work and think. See you there 👋 ! confitura.pl/

On the beach in Marche last week, everyone was reading paper books, not one Kindle in sight. Made me realize: fantasy novels → paper. Technical books → Kindle, highlight, then rebuild in Notion as a second brain. Slower, but it's the re-processing that makes it stick

Removed "read X books/year" from my goals. It was pushing me to finish, not to learn. 5 months. 3 books. Notes reviewed. Chapters revisited. Fewer books. More depth. No regrets. Quality > quantity, always.

Been ignoring Neovim deprecation warnings for months. Tonight I finally fixed them, with AI as a real-time knowledge layer. 10 min, LSP migrated, dependencies upgraded, all warnings gone. Ask, understand, fix, move on. That's the loop 🔗 github.com/AlessandroMinocch… #neovim #vim #AI

I keep coming back to this: the people who survive the AI revolution aren't the ones who fear it or blindly chase it, they're the ones who ask "what more can I offer that AI can't replace?" and then go build exactly that. In the age of AI, your value is your edge. 💪#AI #Career

Just finished "Building Micro Frontends" 2nd ed by @lucamezzalira 📖Read it fast, but the insights stayed. Already spinning up POCs to put the concepts into practice, that's the best sign for a technical book. Highly recommend it if you're serious about frontend architecture. 🚀

Domains ≠ Bounded Contexts. They rarely map 1:1 in real systems. Bounded contexts are design choices, not rigid rules split for clarity, tech needs, or evolution. Pragmatism > purity in #DDD. Read more: verraes.net/2025/08/domain-a…

Today at InPost we had a great workshop on feedback 💬 No matter how much we practice, there’s always more to learn, and I’m glad we’re growing this culture together. 🚀 #Feedback #Leadership

🚀 Big news in CS! A new deterministic algorithm beats Dijkstra for single-source shortest paths (O(m·log^(2/3)n) vs O(m + n log n)) — no randomness needed. Why it matters: faster routing, logistics, AI pathfinding & network analysis. 📰 Read more: 👉 lnkd.in/dX_UH3BD
