Happy early Global Accessibility Awareness Day! The team has been working hard on some great new accessibility features coming later this year:

People into cars please educate me. We are looking into buying a new car. The higher end trim comes with larger wheels. From what I can tell there are no reasons other than aesthetics for the larger wheels, and in fact they get worse fuel economy. Is this true?
Did @OvercastFM app lose the ability to auto-delete episodes after a certain amount, and also the ability select many episodes and delete at once? I seem to have 200 unplayed podcasts that I need to delete one by one.
I'm sorry to see this! However asking people to write in to ask for a refund on their multi-year prepaid subscription is not cool. The refunds should be automatic.
Well deserved OKO team! Congratulations!
Oko has won the prestigious 2024 Apple Design Awards! 🏆This award celebrates our commitment to inclusivity and our mission to empower individuals with disabilities. We couldn’t be more proud to be recognized for making a difference. 🧡@AppStore #WWDC24 #blind #accessibility
Last year our team created Personal Voice and Live Speech. Apple made an ad about it called The Lost Voice. It shows a person using Live Speech to read a book to someone. A few physical books were printed and I got my dirty paws on one. It is so cool!

Huge amount of awesome new #accessibility features coming to Apple platforms this year. My favorites are a new reader mode added to Magnifier and Hover Typing (a large-text typing experience on iOS). Another great Global Accessibility Awareness Day! apple.com/newsroom/2024/05/a…
Check out this great segment from CBS. It features Jordyn Zimmerman who is nonspeaking, and uses Live Speech on iPad to communicate. Our team created this #accessibility feature to help give everyone a voice.

I am looking for a macro pad that can pair via Bluetooth to iOS. I want to be able to program the buttons to send a sequence of key commands.
Something like a Maglodon or a Huion Keydial Mini.
Anyone know of a model that will work with iOS out of the box?
New airline rankings: JetBlue relegated to F tier along with Alaska. Every flight with them has been botched in some preventable way. United and Southwest up in S tier. Great flights with them lately.
. @HotelBeacon we had your front desk arrange a cab to JFK for us and they tried to make us pay for a much more expensive black cab. Totally shameful behavior to take advantage of your guests like this. Do better.
Does anyone know of any good resources or tutorials that cover modern web development from the perspective of someone who just needs a refresher / whats new in the last 5 years?
I'll be giving a talk again this year at CSUN about a variety of VoiceOver and low-vision #accessibility features available in iOS. If you are attending or are in Anaheim next week (March 18th-22nd) come say hi!

I like how there are 3 credit report bureaus in the US because you can easily determine which one is the shittiest, and it's always Equifax.
Here is an overview of some of the #accessibility features that can be found on Apple Vision Pro: youtube.com/watch?v=E1DLpGWO…
As a low vision user, Zoom and Pointer Control are my two favorite and essential features to turn on.

On the day of its launch, we will introduce @LetsEnvision designed just for the 🍎 Vision Pro.
This app will be the first to fully utilize both the AI and accessibility features on the Vision Pro.
Over the past few months, we have collaborated closely with the Vision Pro and Accessibility teams at Apple to refine the user experience on a real Vision Pro.
Here's what you can do with v1:
- You'll be import any file into Envision app on the Vision Pro. think pdfs, ppts, epubs, docx files, web pages, anything under the sun.
- Ask Envision will be available for you to ask questions of these files whether they contain text, video, images or even charts.
- You can export accessible versions of these documents over to the app on your iphone/android device.
The app will leverage the power of the M2 processor to its fullest extent giving people option run Ask Envision entirely on device. Even in airplane mode!
I know the audience for this will be limited but the Vision Pro is the start of a totally new paradigm in computing and we're super excited to bring accessibility to AR/VR.
