This is a response to my comment about the destruction of my home and entire cities in Gaza? I could write volumes about what I have seen and heard throughout my life in Gaza. But what is most visible to me are the more than 100 relatives Israel has killed over the past three years. In a single strike, Israel murdered 31 members of my extended family. Eighteen of them were children. And I can still see the decapitated person who was put into the ambulance with me after I was wounded in 2009. I was 16 years old. It was a miracle I survived. I’m seriously struggling to understand what kind of “peace” an Israeli like you can talk about when your country expelled around 80% of the Palestinian population in 1948 and occupied 78% of Historic Palestine. My grandparents and great-grandparents on both sides were among those expelled. Expelled from their homes and properties. It’s not yours. Their homes were in Yaffa. They died in refugee camps in Gaza. Even the cemeteries where they were buried have been bombed by Israel. If by “peace” you mean the refugees’ right to return and receive compensation, accountability for Israel’s war crimes, and equal rights for Palestinians and Israelis on this land, then I think it is Israelis who have long remained opposed to this. I know your version of peace: Palestinians confined to concentration camps until they are driven out or die. Complete silence. Complete peace for those who bury the victim alive and walk away. One last point. You mentioned the number of Hamas fighters who invaded Israel in October 2023. Can you tell us, with similar accuracy, how many Israeli soldiers invaded Gaza and the West Bank in 2014?? How about 2006? Or 1967? Maybe in 2022? How many did they slaughter, rape, burn, and kidnap? How many Zionist fighters invaded Deir Yassin in April 1948 and killed, raped, and mutilated the bodies of Palestinian victims? How about Tantoura? Did you watch the documentary? I have to admit that i don’t have access like you to the israeli military archive to know these horrific details. Can you also tell us how many settlers invaded Palestinian villages and towns to burn homes, destroy olive groves, and burn human beings? How many were involved in the burning of 18-month-old Ali Dawabsheh and his family in July 2015? Do you think these actions should have consequences? Do you keep a record of all these actions and numbers? Justice for Palestine
