Folding a T-shirt looks simple until you ask a robot to do it. Fabric bends, sleeves get tangled, and the same shirt can land in a different position every time. A robot can’t solve that reliably just by memorizing one perfect demonstration. It needs to learn how small movements change the result. Imagine someone remotely controlling a robot arm to pick up a shirt, align its edges, fold one side, and adjust when the fabric slips. Each attempt can teach something useful: where to grip, how much to move, and when a correction is needed. That’s why @axisrobotics is interesting to me. By letting people control robot arms through a browser and turn demonstrations into training data, Axis opens a path for ordinary human actions to help train physical AI. And the possibilities go far beyond folding clothes. Sorting groceries, organizing shelves, packing boxes, handling tools, or moving objects around a workspace all involve skills that robots need to learn in real environments. The next robotics breakthrough may not come from teaching machines only what to do, but from showing them how people actually do it. You don’t need to build a robot from scratch to contribute to that future.
