More women than men don’t like driving at night. Turns out there’s a physiological reason.Men have more rods in their retinas which gives them better night vision. Just another under researched difference in our biologies.

J.K.Rowling does not hate trans people, She does not want me dead. ☠️
We follow each other because of a mutual recognition that transgender ideology is a disease destroying women and children.
She has no personal animus towards any LGBT
I wrote a new piece about women’s rights and whether or not I want trans people dead. (Spoiler: I don’t)👇

Why did I blow the whistle?
Because these interventions don’t work. Period.
How do I know this?
Because our patients told us so.
Because in the privacy of the doctor’s office, where no therapist is judging, where no teacher who changed their name is listening- they knew.
They knew their health was worsening, they were tired, still sad, still lost, their labs were worsening.
Sometimes they knew in a matter of months, sometimes years later. But they knew.

Thank you to the two @Cambridge_Uni medical students who saved my step-brother's life. He was running with girlfriend on Midsummer Common and his heart stopped for 14 minutes. They didn't give up on him, kept him alive til paramedics arrived. He is on the mend and should make a full recovery

There are times when I ask myself whether I’m being a bit too hard on my employer when I accuse it of grotesque breaches of impartiality.
And then I hear interviews like this.
It’s absolutely staggering that Karen Dalziel, the senior BBC editor responsible for Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, can talk about the very definition of a woman as though it’s some endlessly shifting, contested concept.
During an interview with Ros Atkins (who actually does his job properly), marking 80 years of Woman’s Hour, Dalziel is asked about the Supreme Court ruling which established that the words woman and sex in the Equality Act refer to biological sex.
Her response is revealing. She talks about the story moving, about how a legal judgment that settles something at one point is, for many people, merely a beginning. She even invokes the history of women getting the vote, as though the biological definition of a woman is another chapter in some great unfolding struggle for equality.
Think about the offensive absurdity of this.
For most of the 80 years that Woman’s Hour has been broadcasting, the meaning of the word woman was perfectly well understood. Yet here we are, celebrating that anniversary, with the programme’s own editor apparently treating that biological reality as something endlessly open to reinterpretation, rather than a fact that should underpin the programme’s coverage.
Giving equal weight to the proposition that any man who declares himself a woman thereby becomes one is not a neutral, impartial position. It’s an ideological one.
Dalziel isn’t finished though, and keeps digging. She suggests Woman’s Hour listeners are too old to “understand the terminology”. Presumably, these daft old bats are holding onto the quaint, hopelessly unfashionable idea that a woman isn’t a costume or a feeling but a biological reality. If only their befuddled brains could catch up with the enlightened metropolitan consensus!
It absolutely enrages me listening to this.
Because this is how the BBC has been hollowed out from within. By people in influential editorial positions so ideologically captured or cowardly that they can no longer distinguish between impartial journalism and progressive orthodoxies.
The BBC cannot restore its reputation for impartiality while people who mistake ideological conformity for editorial balance occupy senior positions.
Until they’re removed, every last one of them, all the BBC’s grand declarations about impartiality aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.

🚨Luka Modrić on facing Jude Bellingham with England in Croatia’s 7-0 humiliation:
🗣️ Luka Modrić: “Before the game, I spoke to Jude and told him, ‘Tonight, forget everything about Madrid. You are England and I am Croatia.’
“He smiled and said, ‘I know, Luka. But don’t expect me to make it easy for you.’
“I laughed because I knew exactly what he meant.
“Tonight was different because I was facing a player I know very well, but this time there was nothing familiar about the situation.
“I told our midfield before the game, ‘Don’t give Jude space to turn.’
“But that’s easier said than done.
“Because with Jude, if you follow him everywhere, you create space for someone else. If you give him space, he turns and drives straight at you.
“And tonight we gave him too much freedom.
“He was carrying the ball through our midfield, arriving in dangerous areas and connecting with Kane, Saka and Gordon. Every time England moved forward, Jude seemed to be involved.
“At one point I looked at him and thought, ‘This is exactly why Real Madrid wanted him.’
“The difference is that tonight I wasn’t there to help him. I was there to stop him.
“And we couldn’t.
“After the game, Jude came over to me. He didn’t celebrate in my face or say anything disrespectful. He just said, ‘Luka, that was a difficult night for you.’
“I told him, ‘Yes, Jude. Very difficult.’
“Then I said, ‘Enjoy it tonight. But remember, football has a long memory. One day you will be on the other side of a night like this.’
“He smiled and said, ‘I hope not.’
“I told him, ‘You will. That’s football.’
Tonight he was the young player I once helped guide at Madrid. But on that pitch, he was England’s player and he showed Croatia exactly why he is so difficult to stop.”

Zoe Hollowood is incredibly brave to challenge her party in this way. I know what it’s like to state biological sex is real and be attacked for speaking common sense and telling the truth. She is not on my side of the political spectrum, but courage calls to courage everywhere.
Zoe should be supported in trying to get the Lib Dems to stop being silly, follow the law and respect the supreme court judgement.
Yesterday our chair @hollowood_zoe asked @LibDems conference in a trans debate:
"In 2026, are women allowed rights?
Rights to dignity.
Rights to safety.
Rights to say no."
Conference resoundingly voted 'no' thus deciding that women were second class citizens. 🧵
