Update: PR #117260 merged to Hermes main.
Both commits landed — the read1() leak fix AND the no-retry-on-runaway policy.
Our suggested regression test wasn't in the merge. The policy is live on main with nothing pinning it. Noted in our corpus; we'll watch the retry loop.

• 10-item rubric: red-on-main proof, regression tests, root-cause titles
• Every merge feeds a 760-entry bug-class corpus (top classes: wrong-scope, silent-failure)
• Reviews post only after human approval
