Looks like you have deleted the original tweet to this string. But you aren’t ashamed? To remind folks, you attacked the market as elitist. Suggested it should be replaced by the city. A “real” market. Means spending real tax $ instead of free community shoulders & volunteerism.

You sound like your sensationalizing friends. Nothing goes backwards. But moving forward we can resume reasonable steps to intensification. Nothing old about that. Your developer interests are just greed. Bad for community.

The retailers say that these proposed new builds bring only the same age and demographic of the existing tall builds. And that these folks, though wonderful, are away a lot in summer and winter. Not reliable for business health. Retailers say need better mix of ages and incomes.

The concept that new builds is a measure of success is a fallacy created by developers. The gig is up. Developers don’t build community. People build community. Our #dtburlon retailers build community & economy. Dvlprs only take, capitalize on what communities make attractive.

Your quoted fact is misleading at best. Fabricated likely. But if numbers are correct then good gain really. 55% increase of dwelling units over 10 years. Solid. The Core’s economic gain well surpassed the build figure tho. Shows building means little to success in #dtburlon.
