On Friday, I had a meeting with @millfieldhead at @MillfieldSenior. Millfield has a brilliant track record in working with children with additional needs and we talked about the ways in which the school can share its knowledge and expertise with the state sector.

First Johnson Sessions of the year. Thank you ⁦@MillfieldMusic⁩ As a leader in education, good looks like this - students at ease and honest in front of strangers, adults alongside, never above. Children comfortable sharing vulnerability and brilliance.

For years, @MillfieldSenior has joyously run a Community Day on this day. Today we welcomed over 800 guests and their friends to the school. The joy and personal development that occurs is stupendous.

There must be entitlement to the arts in all schools. There is not; it is off the bottom of the scale of priority. Partnerships, typically with independent schools enable this to survive, despite policy. A Labour administration will destroy that. Do they have an alternative? – at Scotland, United Kingdom

Late to this, but it’s excellent - including the need to re-establish entitlement to the arts in ALL schools, with funding: “The arts in Britain are teetering on the brink. Here is my plan to save them”: former @NationalTheatre⁩ boss, Nicholas Hytner: theguardian.com/commentisfre…

The Arts Council should focus on high-quality performances while a new body deals with community-based initiatives, says Nicholas Hytner, former artistic director at the National Theatre
