AIIMS Jodhpur. Another doctor lost.
Dr Raj Naresh, reportedly a Senior Resident in Anaesthesia (Sem 2 JR), and a 2016 UG alumnus of AIIMS Jodhpur, has allegedly died by suicide today.
A colleague alleges he was facing severe toxicity, was unwell, had undergone a dengue test yesterday, was suffering—and was still denied leave.
And this is allegedly NOT isolated.
The resident claims:
• 7 days/week
• Up to 20 HOURS A DAY
• Weekly offs only “on paper”
• Severe toxicity across surgical branches
If these allegations are true, AIIMS Jodhpur owes answers.
How many doctors have to collapse or die before resident doctors are treated like HUMAN BEINGS instead of disposable labour?
This needs an immediate, independent investigation.

As a medical student, mocking a cadaver is one of the worst things you can do. I still remember the poem written on the first page of Anatomy Book, by B.D. Chaurasia, where a cadaver pours his heart out and asks to be handled with love and care.
On the very first day of MBBS, we take the Cadaveric Oath, where we pledge to respect the cadaver and honor the gift of body donation. Mocking a cadaver in a live comedy show is not just disrespectful to the cadaver, also to the person who donated their body and to the family they belonged to.
It is deeply disheartening to witness such behavior.

calm down, Asthana Ji.
@theliverdoc didn’t deny the grandmaster’s right to wish his family.
He just reminded all of us that ‘Dr.’ before a name means science, not sugar pills and spine cracking.
Please understand, Facts ≠ disrespect
It’s not about the time.
It’s about the skill.
It takes years of working day and night to be able to do something in 30 seconds.
Like Picasso — he once drew a sketch in 30 sec and charged $10,000.
“Because it took me 40 years to learn how,” he said.

Just heartbroken by the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. Prayers for all the lives lost, May their souls rest in peace. 🕊️
Minister you should apologise in person
During the broadcast with Prudent Media last night, I openly extended my heartfelt apology to Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar for the harsh words spoken by me during my visit to GMC. In the heat of the moment, my emotions overtook my expression, and I deeply regret the manner in which I addressed the situation. It was never my intention to undermine or disrespect the dignity of any medical professional.
Doctors hold a sacred and noble position in our society. They work tirelessly to heal, to comfort, and to save lives. I hold the highest respect for their contribution to our state. While I may have erred in my communication, my intent was always to ensure that no patient is denied timely care and that our public health system remains responsive and compassionate.
However, I am equally concerned about the disruption in services at Goa Medical College, which is now impacting thousands of innocent patients. The public is bearing the brunt of this situation, and I urge all our doctors to reflect on the larger responsibility we share the welfare of our people.
This issue is now unfortunately being politicised, turning a professional matter into a political confrontation. That is not the path we should follow. Let us not allow the sanctity of GMC and its service to the people be diminished by external agendas. Our focus must remain steadfast on healing and helping.
I appeal to our doctors to return to duty with the same passion and commitment that defines their profession. Disservice to the people of Goa, in any form, cannot be justified.
Let us all rise above this moment, reaffirm our shared commitment to public health, and work together to ensure that no patient suffers due to misunderstandings or misplaced priorities.
Goa looks up to its doctors with pride. Let us continue to live up to that trust.

1. It was not some life threatening emergency or even a major health issue. It was just an injection to be given.
2. You walked with camera recording and humiliated a medical officer on duty.
3. If your purpose was to help people, set up OPDs on Sunday or injection rooms.
4. The language and the manner you spoke was not like a minister. It was more like a road side hooligan. People will take your example and verbally/physically attack doctors and medical staff tomorrow. You're setting a precedent.
5. Learn how to officially handle matters without cameras and sensationalism.
6. People like you are the reason why doctors don't like working in govt hospitals.
7. Do not make doctors the scapegoats for your govt's inefficiencies.

We’ve worked under CMO sir and witnessed firsthand how efficiently and selflessly he manages casualty under pressure.
Suspending him and that too, without hearing his side is unjust and uncalled for, especially over a matter as minor as not giving an injection #Justice
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane during his surprise visit to Goa Medical College Bambolim ordered suspension of CMO for misbehaving with public.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Goa Health Minister’s tirade at the GMCH CMO “before my BP boils and I take some other action” constitutes a threat of violence on a on-duty Dr. and violates BNS 224 & 351.
Suspending a doctor without hearing his side is authoritarian, vindictive & mockery of due process.

Yesterday i suggested surgery to 3 patients. All 3 had mediclaim. I said ok, you can plan and let me know.
Then they asked if i can operate under Ayushman Yojana ? I plainly denied. They were like why to use mediclaim when Ayushman is existent.
I am constantly repeating, Ayushman is heavily misused. Already states are in debts, @narendramodi should reconsider having this yojana
