Americans are choosing between paying rent and buying groceries. They're rationing insulin and selling their blood. And what is Trump doing? Trading stocks. Building himself a ballroom. Putting his face on coins. Selling Trump meme tokens.

Reminder that Labor Day is about America’s labor movement and it’s workers. This should be obvious.

I’m sorry… 2 billion? With a B?
Boston Herald: Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Minogue plans to spend up to $2 billion on his campaign to unseat Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (D) in the November election. Link to article: bostonherald.com/2026/09/06/…

YOUNG PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING BACK Young people understand that, in the richest country on Earth, there is no rational reason why their generation should face a lower standard of living than their parents. And they’re fighting back. Progressives are winning across the country because young people are increasingly involved in the political process. They’re knocking on doors, making phone calls and voting in record numbers for progressive candidates. They understand that healthcare is a human right, that we should invest in affordable housing and not endless wars, that we should make public colleges and universities tuition-free and that AI must benefit all of humanity, not just Big Tech oligarchs. The establishment wants people to believe politics is hopeless, that they have all the money and therefore they have all the power. But across the country, a new generation is proving them wrong.

Congratulations on your presumptive victory, @TroyJackson207. It’s time for young people across Maine and across the country to mobilize to elect Troy Jackson to the U.S. Senate.
Thank you, Maine. Our campaign has always been powered by ordinary Mainers—not corporate PACs or wealthy special interests, but neighbors organizing neighbors because they believe we deserve better. In November, we are going to defeat Susan Collins and reclaim our Senate seat.

Because of the efforts of @hsdems, countless young Democrats have gotten involved and stayed engaged with the democratic process. It was an honor to chat with Milan and other young leaders at their annual summit.

Nearly 4 million Americans lost their health insurance after Trump and Republicans ended Affordable Care Act tax credits. In 127 days, we will vote these guys out.

Mark, we overwhelmingly rejected your guy last year. Enough of the DC elite because the future of the party is in the trenches not the barrooms in DC. Ken is building in the trenches, and we’re not going back.
My point is that the @DNC could be so much more. Attacking in ways candidates can’t. Raising real resources. Branding Democrats & fixing the party image. Properly analyzing what went right & wrong. Standing up, period. I see little of this. Part is leadership, part structural.

My advice for anyone who wants to get involved? Show up and get involved. One day in 2002, I showed up at the Wellstone for Senate office, and it changed my life forever.

When @zayedkadir and I wrote this resolution, we definitely did not expect it to receive so much attention. We’re the Chair and Vice Chair of @hsdems. It’s a crazy thought that just two high schoolers is all it took to push the party in the right direction on dark money.
The DNC just passed a resolution condemning dark money. That’s a start, but not enough. Billionaire-funded super PACs—AIPAC, AI, crypto & others—are spending hundreds of millions to defeat any candidate who crosses them. They should be banned from Democratic primaries. Period.

At the same time, while I love that the most impactful resolutions passed were introduced by @hsdems and @CollegeDems leadership, they were watered down significantly. They removed all references to crypto and AI money in this resolution, and blocked another condemning AIPAC.

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

DC Water should explain to affected Montgomery County residents and everyone in the region how they will protect us against the shockingly high levels of E. coli recorded near the C&O Canal and the Potomac River by the Potomac Riverkeeper Network. The sewage spill has generated a lot of fear and frustration among local families who live nearby these treasured waterways. I feel grateful to the DC Water employees on the ground who are diligently working around the clock to repair the Potomac Interceptor. As I have done since January, I will keep pressing DC Water’s leadership for answers to my constituents’ pressing concerns. wtop.com/local/2026/03/near-…
