On August 31, I started playing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix (Mega 39s) The ISS, a Soyuz-like rocket, and the EVA pod from 2001: A Space Odyssey can be seen in the music video for Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya! (the Nyan Cat song)

October 21, 2015 in Back to the Future Part II (1989) was intended to be a subversion of dark and gritty cyberpunk media like Blade Runner. But it was still based on the 1980s idea that Japan would become an economic superpower (the fear of which being known as “Japan-bashing”).

Small scale government space activity: “justified scientific research” Large-scale commercial space activity: “evil waste of money that should go to fixing Earth”

An alternate history in which India was never partitioned, if it could be kept stable with decentralized regional autonomy and protections for religious minorities, could have mitigated the rise of the Taliban and al-Qaeda and prevented 9/11.

In the 1980s, Hatsunia (初音国) launched the "Martian Moons Discoverer" (MMD) spacecraft to Phobos and Deimos.

Congratulations on the launch of JAXA’s Martian Moons eXploration spacecraft! It aims to be the first spacecraft to return samples from Mars’s moon Phobos.

I am working on tracing Hatsunia's terrain and rivers (made using GIMP and the Wilbur erosion simulation software) into a vector format in Inkscape. It is taking a long time because of the high level of detail.
