NEW: Sources with knowledge of the high-level discussions between Stelco and Ottawa said the federal government “tried everything” to delay the layoffs, including short-term bridge financing, longer-term loans, retrofitting and access to new markets in Canada.
“He quite literally said “nope”, we don’t want your help unless it’s a blank cheque to the tune of billions with no conditions,” the source said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive talks.

So, a Muslim co-pilot flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv stabs the other pilot and starts screaming “Allahu Akbar”, attempting to deliberately crash the plane in a suicide mission.
Passengers were able to get into the cockpit and subdue the terrorist. Two of the passengers were also pilots and took control of the aircraft, landing it safely and saving all 180 people on board from what would otherwise have been a fatal crash.
They really just tried to carry out a 9/11 style attack on Israel and it went wrong. Pro-Palestinian activists must be very upset.

Trump minion say Canada “will pay even more dearly” if we interfere in US midterm elections. I’m pretty sure no Canadians are interfering in American elections. But the same cannot be said about US interference in the Alberta referendum. cbc.ca/news/politics/peter-n…

Trump: Sleepy Joe Biden, have you heard of him?

Trump: 😴😴😴
Canadians who come on here, on the daily, and run Canada down Trump-style are the worst kind of people. Hope they are paying you well.

Oh my God. He’s a bigger clown than Starmer. Is this where Poilivre has been getting his video ideas, or is it the other way around? Politicians today, man. #cdnpoli

📺 CANADIAN TV MEMORY
THE HILARIOUS HOUSE OF FRIGHTENSTEIN
If you grew up watching Canadian television in the 1970s or 1980s, chances are Castle Frightenstein left an impression on you.
Produced by CHCH-TV in Hamilton in 1971, The Hilarious House of Frightenstein mixed comedy, monsters, music, puppets and educational bits into one of the strangest — and most memorable — children’s shows Canadian television ever produced.
At the centre of it all was the incredibly versatile Billy Van, who played a remarkable collection of characters, including Count Frightenstein, The Wolfman, Grizelda the Ghastly Gourmet, The Librarian, Dr. Pet Vet and several others.
And then there was Vincent Price, whose wonderfully spooky appearances gave the show an extra touch of genuine horror-movie magic.
Amazingly, 130 episodes were produced, and the show developed a cult following that lasted long after its original run.
There really wasn’t anything else quite like it.
Part horror spoof, part variety show, part educational program — and completely unforgettable.
Did you watch The Hilarious House of Frightenstein? Which character or segment do you remember most? And if you have any old clips, post them in the replies — I’d love to see them.
