The Seattle Art Museum (@iheartSAM) will present Ai Weiwei’s 1st US retrospective in more than a decade. “Ai, Rebel: The Art and Activism of Ai Weiwei” will show more than 100 artworks made between the 1980s and the 2020s, the largest-ever in the US and his first solo in Seattle.
Just did it. Strong contender. Will also add Minneapolis to KC, and St. Louis to Tulsa to the conversation.

Happy birthday to #AlexanderCalder!
“Calder: In Motion” is an opportunity to see all 45 seminal works gifted to SAM on view. Now that the exhibition has been extended, there’s no better time to deepen your understanding of this iconic American artist. ⬇️ samblog.seattleartmuseum.org…
Having a short break between jobs I am out doing weekday errands in the morning for the first time in years. It’s so nice. People talk with you, very few lines, less rushed, can actually get help when you need it. It’s like a hidden alternate reality.

The last eight years in Tulsa have been rewarding both personally and professionally. Aside from all my side projects we build a pretty amazing and welcoming museum at @Philbrook too. @iheartSAM, we are on our way soon!
Today was the final day at Philbrook for @middlewest. Thank you, Scott. They’re lucky to have you @iheartSAM. You were many things to us. A leader, a DJ, a ball player, an artist, a Jedi, the list is long. May the Phil be with you, always.

Our annual #fireworks display is cancelled this year for obvious reasons.
Actually we don’t have an annual fireworks display because we’re a historic home in the middle of a neighborhood and that would be nuts.
But thanks for reading. Visit Philbrook soon. :)

Proud and thrilled to break ground on this transformative project to enhance the @Philbrook campus and add more space to learn, gather, and be inspired. Mark your calendars to join us for the opening in Fall of 2025.
