One way to navigate tough topics is through silent discussion. Students brainstormed ideas about what can be done to prevent tragedy like the one in Florida. They then wrote out their answers and responded to the ideas of their peers. Thank you to @prestoplans for this idea!

Today students organized fictional narratives in collaborative groups using giant plot maps. Loved seeing so much creativity and imagination!
