"Why is PPG still silent about Valko?" I understand why people feel disrespected. It has been more than two months, and with so many players demanding Valko’s return, PPG saying absolutely nothing can understandably feel like they are ignoring the community. But I don’t think silence means they don’t care. Valko is coming back. His return is part of PPG’s plan, and PPG wants him back. And I want to be very clear about something: I’m not saying the boycott doesn’t matter. It does. The boycott has made a huge impact, and in my opinion, it may have accelerated Valko’s return and pushed the original timeline forward. But it does not affect PPG’s decision to bring Valko back. It didn’t create that decision, and it won't change whether he is coming back. Valko is already going to return. So why haven’t they said anything yet? I think they are waiting until they can do this properly. Valko deserves a red-carpet return. After everything that has happened, this shouldn’t be treated like a normal character update. The promotional copy in the PV, the visuals, the marketing, the timing, the announcement, and everything surrounding his return need to be right. Especially considering how the original PV wording, including “引狼入室" (lead a wolf into the house), was twisted into accusations of misogyny and became part of the controversy that ultimately led to Valko’s release being cancelled. PPG has every reason to be extremely careful this time rather than rushing out a simple statement. There are also still plenty of people who don’t want Valko back, and the rival company clearly hasn’t given up. If PPG confirms his return too early, they give their opponents information, time to prepare, and an opportunity to turn the announcement into another controversy. If what happened around July 9 was connected to a prepared negative campaign, then delaying the release may have been the right move because there was simply nothing for that campaign to hit. I also don’t think PPG wants Valko’s return to be framed as “the boycott worked, so they finally gave in.” That’s not how I see it. Valko’s comeback should be presented on its own terms, as a major moment for the game, not as a reaction to pressure. PPG can acknowledge the players’ voices without making the return look like they were forced into it. That’s why I don’t see these two months of silence as proof that PPG has forgotten the players or changed their mind about Valko. I think they are being extremely careful about when and how they announce something that has become this important. The announcement could come in an hour. It could come later. I don’t know the exact timing, and I don’t pretend to know everything happening internally. But one thing I’m not worried about is whether Valko is coming back. He is.
