It was interesting to see the similarities between the LCFC Academy handout and the UEFA C FA Planning Model.
Here's an example with some additional context.
It might be helpful for some coaches out there.

I was speaking on a podcast last night and got asked an interesting question:
"If you could change 1 thing about sport what would it be?".
"Get rid of the Performance Pathway concept for kids under 14 or 15 years of age", I replied.
Up until their mid-teens, make sport about fun, enjoyment, learning, playing with friends, joy - just getting off the sofa and off their devices and doing something active that they love doing with people they care about - and who care about them.
Then - somewhere in their mid-teens, the ones who really love it and who have some talent, drive, ambition, determination and resilience - sure - let's put them on a Performance focused #Pathway then and help them be all they choose to be.
Let kids be kids.
8 year olds are not "future champions".
7 year olds are not "emerging elites".
10 year olds are not "high performance" anything.
Let kids be kids.

He had a voice that conjured up magic; he created masterpieces with his words; and he enhanced memories for generations.
To players, he was a true friend.
Our deepest condolences to the family of Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
A legend of Gaelic games. A legend of Ireland. RIP.

First, am I concerned with the over saturation of analysis?
Yes.
However, by this I mean there’s an over saturation of ‘hindsight’ analysis. Lillo calls it ‘Opportunist’ analysis.

Being Australian and having grown up with Australian Rules football, I'd wondered for a long time why Australian Footy Clubs occasionally recruit men (and increasingly now women) from #GAA #gaelicfootball #gaelicsport
After seeing a few games of #gaelicfootball over the past few years when I've been working in Ireland I can see why.
Amazing athletes. Incredible ball skills. Great ability to change direction at high speed AND - really importantly - at a time when it's become fashionable to run LESS in AFL training - the Irish men and women are quite simply just great runners.
I've had the pleasure of watching a few gaelic football, #hurling and and #camogie training sessions and was blown away by how much running they do.
How you get great at a running sport by NOT running is beyond me - so it's no surprise to see Australian footy clubs looking closely at the remarkable talent in Ireland.
Not going to get into an argument over which football code is better........I'm not that silly! 😆 but the athletic talent of players in Ireland is seriously world class.
Hats off the coaches in the Emerald Isle!
(See photo - wonder if we're related).
